After feeding the Golden Rat Wolf the taming pill, Chen Yang didn't rush to take it away.

Instead, he stretched out his hand, letting it slowly sniff and familiarize itself with his scent.

Once it had gotten used to it, he took out a body-strengthening elixir from his pocket.

"Little guy, do you like this thing?"

Chen Yang thought that magical beasts should all like body-strengthening elixirs, so he decided to give it a try.

Sure enough, he wasn't wrong; this little guy really liked it.

Upon seeing the body-strengthening elixir, its reaction was just like Wangcai's.

Its eyes immediately lit up, and without a word, it grabbed the elixir Chen Yang offered and started chomping down.

After finishing it, its reaction was the same as Wangcai's, closing its eyes to absorb the effects.

As if temporarily unable to withstand such a medicinal power.

Chen Yang smiled slightly, picked it up and casually put it into his pocket.

Because it needed to absorb the body-strengthening elixir's effects, the little guy didn't resist at all.

Once in Chen Yang's pocket, it fell into a deep sleep.

Seeing this, Chen Yang was relieved.

He had been worried the little creature wouldn't adapt and might panic.

But now it seemed he had overthought it.

"Let's go, Wangcai, time to head back. You did very well today, and you deserve a good reward," Chen Yang said with a smile, patting Wangcai's head.

Woof woof!

Hearing this, Wangcai was delighted and started circling around Chen Yang.

Chen Yang chuckled, then left the farm with it and Hei Yun, heading home.

On the way home, Chen Yang had to pass by the woods.

He initially thought that once he left, Gu Xuanyu would leave as well, but unexpectedly, he was still there, directing Wu Damazi and the others in digging.

They had plenty of manpower, so their digging speed was quite fast.

The Golden Rat Wolf's nest in the woods was practically turned upside down by them.

Yet the Golden Rat Wolf was nowhere to be seen.

Watching them work hard at digging, Chen Yang couldn't help but find it amusing.

But he didn't say much, just gave a meaningful glance at that area, then left with Wangcai, without bothering about how long Gu Xuanyu would keep digging.

Once back home, Chen Yang first prepared a tasty meal for Wangcai and Hei Yun as a reward for helping find the Golden Rat Wolf today.

Then he went to the yard, planning to make a nest for the little creature in his bag.

Though its use was still unclear, it couldn't hurt to keep it.

Even if it was useless, he couldn't let Gu Xuanyu get it.

After all, judging by the situation, this Golden Rat Wolf seemed quite important to him.

Chen Yang took it out of the bag and casually placed it on the ground in the yard.

By now, the Golden Rat Wolf had absorbed most of the body-strengthening elixir's power and was much more alert.

As soon as it hit the ground, it started sniffing around, observing the environment.

Having fed it the body-strengthening elixir, Chen Yang wasn't worried about it escaping and left it alone.

He turned around and went to the utility room, retrieving some planks and nails, planning to build a nest for it, just like he did for Wangcai.

But before he even started, the little creature was gone.

"Where did it go?"

Surprised, Chen Yang wondered if it had run away.

Woof woof!

While Chen Yang was bewildered, Wangcai, who was eating in the distance, suddenly barked towards a corner near the herb field.

Following the sound, Chen Yang saw the little guy in a hidden corner by the wall, digging a hole, seemingly to build its own nest.

"Little guy."

Chen Yang called out, testing its response.

The Golden Rat Wolf seemed to know Chen Yang was calling it; it popped its head out of the hole and looked around.

Its gaze finally fixed on Chen Yang.

Its little eyes seemed to be asking him if he was calling it.

At this point, Chen Yang was worried that the taming pill hadn't worked on it.

But seeing it respond to his call, he relaxed.

"Since you like building your own nest, go ahead, just don't mess up my herb field."

Seeing the little guy could build its own nest, Chen Yang decided not to use the tools to make a nest for it.

He thought it might be better to let it build its own; it might enjoy it more.

So Chen Yang turned around and put the tools back in the utility room.

He didn't bother the little creature anymore.

With nothing else to do that afternoon, Chen Yang stayed in the medical clinic, reading medical books and studying the Medicinal King Bible.

As dusk approached, Chen Yang got up to make dinner.

After dinner, practicing boxing for a bit would bring the day to a close.

"I wonder how the little guy's nest is coming along."

Standing at the kitchen door, Chen Yang suddenly remembered the little Golden Rat Wolf in the yard, busy building its nest.

Curious, he went to check it out.

To his surprise, he discovered something unexpected.

Although there was only one entrance, which didn't affect the backyard,

the mound of new dirt by the entrance really shocked him.

"Did this little one dig out that much in just an afternoon? It won't dig through my whole yard, will it?"

Chen Yang was stunned.

This little creature might be small, but its burrowing speed was impressive.

In just an afternoon, it had dug up a pile of earth that high; quite a feat indeed.

But that wasn't the main point.

The main point was that the little guy had no intention of stopping and kept on digging.

When Chen Yang arrived, it was just then delivering dirt out of the hole.

After pushing the dirt out, it gave Chen Yang a glance, then went right back to digging without a word.

Chen Yang couldn't help but shake his head, astonished.

But he didn't say anything further.

After all, digging holes was its specialty, so it shouldn't cause the yard to collapse or anything.

Let it dig if it wants to dig.

Chen Yang shook his head again and then turned to go to the kitchen to make some dinner.

But as soon as he reached the kitchen door, he received a call from Wang Jingman.

She invited him to the county town to attend some kind of medical gathering.

Such gatherings didn't really interest Chen Yang.

But, given that it was Wang Jingman's invitation, he agreed.

After all, he still wanted to experience the feel of high-quality silk stockings.

"I'm not interested in this, but if you want to go, I can accompany you," Chen Yang said with a smile after some thought.

"Yes, I'd love to go, to exchange knowledge and learn from others," Wang Jingman replied, clearly more delighted by his words.

"Alright, just send me the location, and I'll come pick you up,"

Chen Yang nodded with a smile, then hung up the phone and set off in his van.

On the way, Wang Jingman sent her current location.

She was still at the hotel where she had previously stayed, not having changed locations.

Chen Yang had been there several times already, so he knew the way well.

He didn't even need GPS; he just drove straight to the county town.

And he picked up Wang Jingman at the hotel entrance.
