Revive Rome: Wait! Why not make the empress fall in love with me first?

Chapter 18: Final Battle

Leviathan!

A massive Leviathan suddenly broke through the sea surface, with two sharp rows of teeth biting towards Thira!

Thira almost simultaneously rose up, narrowly avoiding the Leviathan's bite. Aske, who was already beside her with his longsword drawn and ready, relaxed his grip on the sword hilt only after seeing Thira barely dodge the sharp teeth.

The Leviathan, still airborne, hadn't yet fallen when another huge meteor broke through the clouds again, directly hitting Leviathan's head.

With an earth-shattering crash, Leviathan fell towards the sea again, its entire head smashed and deformed, foul blood raining into the ocean.

Whoa! Aske's eyes lit up; this "Star Fall" strike was well-executed.

From the connection to gravity relating to the meteor outside the atmosphere, to the meteor hitting the target, the process in-between takes some time. This means Thira had long once pulled several meteors into the atmosphere jointly, using the dense cloudy sky to conceal them.

Otherwise, under a clear sky, even an unintelligent Leviathan would have been alerted to guard against them.

In other words, even though Thira only mastered four law skills, they can already form mutual synergy, achieving results greater than 1+1>2.

For instance, using "Tornado" to gather monsters and then "Star Fall" for direct AOE output, or using "Heavy Rain" to change the environment and suppress visibility to cover for the number and position of "Star Fall". Thira had already integrated these skills, forming her unique "playstyle", which highlights her talent and Spirituality in this aspect.

In contrast, Peggy...

Pulling his thoughts together again, Ascola grabbed Thira's arm and retreated swiftly. Below, numerous black shadows rose from the sea surface.

Swordfish swarm.

These swordfish have sharp and hard noses, shooting out with the initial speed of surfacing, densely packed like a terrifying rain of arrows. Thira wanted to use a Tornado to clear the field, but Aske dragged her behind with his left hand and pushed forward with his right.

Tornado!

A rotating hurricane suddenly appeared on the sea surface, and the edge winds directly threw the two of them hundreds of meters away. Most of the swordfish swarm shooting up from below got caught in the sudden hurricane, while only a few flashed past the air pressure area from their momentum, flying past the spot where the two originally stood.

Thira was initially a little unwilling. A few seconds later, there was only a lingering fear—had she thought her Tornado sufficient for clearing the field and stayed there, she would likely have been skewered by swordfish by now.

"How did you know?" She asked admiringly, "Know the Tornado wouldn't be enough to intercept all these swordfish?"

"That's not important," Aske said calmly. "The important thing is that even if I could intercept them all, it would be useless, because the opponent would definitely have a follow-up move."

"What if there's no follow-up?" Seeing his confident answer, Thira suddenly wanted to tease him, deliberately retorting, "Are you 100% sure the opponent has a follow-up move?"

Aske looked at her strangely and said:

"Even if the opponent really has no follow-up, wouldn't retreating and pulling back for distance be better for subsequent positioning?"

Thira retreated in shame.

Retreating near Hero Harbor, other girls sensed the anomaly and rushed out, only to see tens of meters high tsunami rising in the distance offshore, behind the rapidly approaching wall of waves, vaguely visible were various densely packed Sea King species, and island-sized Leviathans.

......

Though they already knew it would be a grand scene, the sight before them still instinctively made everyone shudder and horrified.

There are way too many!

"Command channel!" Aske ordered, and Medea immediately used the Mind Line to establish the team communication channel.

Eleanor drew a long spear with Will Armor and charged straight towards the tsunami, the spear in her hand suddenly extended to nearly a hundred meters long.

Have you seen a hundred-meter Holy Sword augmented spear?!

A standard Iron Cutting strike, wielding the long spear in a huge circular sweep, slicing through the tsunami while bisecting all Sea King species behind, broken flesh pieces flying everywhere.

Suddenly, from below her, a Leviathan broke through the ocean, swallowing her whole.

Before it fell back into the sea, its body was instantly sliced open by seven or eight beams of golden light, and foul blood poured down like a waterfall.

As a demigod-level extraordinary creature, Leviathan, even cut to pieces, did not immediately die, clenching its teeth to prevent the golden lights from bursting out of its abdomen until Eleanor pierced its head with a Dragon Spear, then it slowly opened its uncontrolled blood-gaping mouth, letting Eleanor emerge.

What welcomed her was a blood sea battlefield where demons danced.

After advancing to demigod rank, Peggy's undead illusion sword finally reached the "one man against thousands" realm, capable of unleashing the most terrifying power.

A thick layer of viscous foul blood blanketed the sea surface, every time a Sea King species approached, Peggy's figure emerged from within, clawing into the opponent's body to initiate Life Drain, greedily sipping blood like a leech.

Even when detonated by surrounding attacks, these Peggys merely dissipated into illusions but wouldn't return the drained life force. Thus, within a few short minutes, several Sea King species quickly died, depleted and drained of life force.

To combat a demigod with extraordinary creatures below demigod rank is almost impossible, thus a Leviathan soon emerged from the waves with mouth wide open, roaring to devour the foul blood.

With Leviathan's terrifying life force, unless breaking through physically like Eleanor, it fears not Peggy's Life Drain. Consequently, the massive foul blood quickly transformed into countless flying bats, and a sudden black light shot out from the swarm, striking that Leviathan.

The huge body fell backward into the sea, splashing waves nearly ten meters high. This Leviathan, hitting dead immediately by the demigod-level Curse Death, flipped its belly in demise.

The bat swarm scattered in all directions, disappearing without a trace, then remaining Sea King species turned around to besiege Eleanor, only to suddenly cry out miserably halfway.

Barnacles, nearly every Sea King species has barnacles attached to their surface. These arthropods cling to marine animals' bodies, digging claws and adhesives deep into the skin, making them extremely hard to remove — but they won't actively harm hosts.

Under Nora's remote Evolution Law influence, these barnacles rapidly evolved into leech-like creatures, wildly devouring Sea King species' flesh, driving these giants into madness from intense itching and pain, attacking each other chaotically.

Eleanor seized the chance to break through the encirclement, rushing towards Hero Harbor. Even though some creatures were bound by modified barnacles, many marine creatures chased after her, getting blown apart one by one by invisible air force.

Sigrdrifa stood on Hero Harbor's shore, swinging the North Wind Axe to unleash Slaughter skill, its law skill causing massive shockwaves, hitting targets across long distances directly.

Attached Silent Annihilation, penetrating internally to disrupt ordered structures, making her attacks completely ignore opponent's physical defense strength, each hit causing significant damage... plus all were hard-to-heal internal injuries.

Of course, this single-target attack, despite high output, couldn't suppress the ocean creature's frontline advancing amidst their near limitless numbers.

The decisive skill truly in play was held by Thira floating high above.
