The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha!

Chapter 13: Mission (2)

When stepping out of Yilin Castle, Erwin's mind kept replaying the expression on Yilin's face when she spoke: "If something really happened there, it might already be controlled by forces from Heaven or Hell. Do you call this a simple task?"

"Is it difficult?" Erwin murmured to himself.

If it were just ordinary opponents, Erwin wouldn't need to worry much, given the undeniable power of the knight's armor.

Which knight can simultaneously battle three knights from the Silver Moon Knight Fifth Squad equipped with magic armor and wielding longitude swords? Erwin was skeptical.

However, if the opponent is divine or demonic, then indeed there might be some variables.

Erwin had personally witnessed angels and demons, knowing their immense power. But, he had also seen the Lich chase angels and demons away.

"Don't we have Lord Simon?" Thinking this, he chuckled.

...

Under the night, the windows of Elvin's house living room emitted a dim yellow glow.

All around was silent, and four horses tied together were lowering their heads to munch on hay while George's guard fed supplements to the warhorses, scoop by scoop, into the trough.

...

"Duke Beisher assigned us a task?" George slightly lifted his head, glancing at Erwin while eating.

"Yes, just a simple little task." Erwin excitedly said to everyone, "She needs us to visit Kapu and see what the situation is there now. She lost contact with Kapu recently."

Matthew, who was slicing the meat on his plate, also slightly raised his head and looked at Erwin.

George, while eating, asked, "Couldn't she send a messenger there? Why send us?"

"Because something unknown might have happened there, so she wants us to go. It might also be a test of sorts."

"If this is a test, then the test is too easy. Taking on such tasks seems a bit underutilized for us," George said, raising his glass of red wine, ready to drink.

"I intend that if this task goes well, I'll officially welcome you into the Silver Moon Knight Fifth Squad as a member."

Upon hearing this, George's wine glass paused in mid-air.

Matthew's gaze moved back and forth between the two.

Bart slightly raised his head.

Cadina looked at Erwin.

After a brief silence, George turned his face, instructing his butler Ben Sen standing beside him, "Check the road to Kapu and what needs to be prepared."

After speaking, he turned back to Erwin, "When do we depart?"

"Tomorrow. We'll be two days from Kapu. By the time we arrive, the snow should have melted, just in time," Erwin replied casually.

...

"Mr. Simon." Erwin gently pushed open Simon's room door, speaking softly, "We will depart for Kapu tomorrow to carry out a mission."

"Need me for something?" Simon was staring blankly at a shriveled apple.

"We need you to come with us because we're not sure if there are forces from Heaven and Hell there. If present, we might not be able to handle them."

"Should I find a few helpers?"

"Uh... probably not, but you'll need to wear armor. You know, seeing you without mental preparation might be hard for ordinary people to accept. I hope you don't mind me saying so."

"Oh." Throughout, Simon's gaze never left that shriveled apple.

"What are you looking at, Mr. Simon?" Erwin stretched his neck.

"Apple."

"Is there something special about the apple?"

"The apple has seeds inside, which can grow into an apple tree."

"And then?"

"Don't you think this is important?"

"Uh..." Erwin didn't know how to respond for a moment, so he awkwardly chuckled and said, "You continue, I'm leaving first."

Saying this, he turned and walked out the door, gently closing it behind him.

The room was once again left with just Simon, who stared at the apple, slowly raising his head.

A bluish magic power floated from his finger bones like mist, merging into the apple.

Suddenly, the previously motionless apple flew into the air, slowly disintegrating into tiny particles, yet maintaining its original shape.

Like an apple-shaped cloud...

...

As soon as Erwin returned to the living room, George hurriedly asked, "How did it go? Did Mr. Simon agree?"

"Of course, he wouldn't disagree," Erwin replied, "Mr. Simon is particularly agreeable."

"Alright, I'll get prepared now." George, who was originally leaning against the dining table with arms crossed, quickly headed for the door.

"Do we need to prepare anything? I thought we could depart at any time."

"There's a lot to prepare!"

After George left, Erwin looked toward Matthew, who was leaning against a chair on the other side.

Sighing, Matthew softly said, "I bet he'll bring his guard unit, along with the butler, servants, and all. You should stop him."

"Why stop him?"

"Don't you think there are too many people? The target is too obvious."

"No, I think the more, the better," Erwin said. "Miss Yilin's orders aren't clear, we don't even know what we're supposed to investigate. With more people, we can complete the task faster. And, if indeed it's inconvenient to bring too many people, we can separate when the time comes, wouldn't that solve the issue? If we don't bring them and later find out we actually need more people, that's not something we can summon quickly."
