My Favorite Game Followed Me!

Chapter 602

Anton closed the large windows of the barracks with permission from the soldiers who were staying inside and were still awake, and then he placed four Frozen Orb Air Conditioner magic items that he had created in four corners of the barracks on the floor, since there were no tables. After a couple of minutes, the whole place was comfortably cool and would remain so until someone decided to turn off the magic item using the instruction placards that Anton stuck to the walls above the magic items.

After the place became comfortably cool, Anton lay down on his bed and started leveling up his ladder Paladin character since he hadn't had the chance to do so for quite a while now. Unfortunately, unlike the monsters from the dungeons, he was not able to earn experience points to level up his Diablo II characters from the undead horde that was attacking the walls of Mendoza.

The teachers in the training facilities in Ormunda did teach them that monsters inside the dungeons were not living beings but mana or energy that was created by the dungeon for the purpose of harvesting the mana emitted by the adventurers who ventured inside. That means that, unlike some of the web novels that Anton had read, there would be no monster overflows since dungeon monsters would not be able to exist outside of the dungeon.

Anton remembered asking a question regarding whether a force like the Undead Coalition could use the monsters inside to assist them in invading a territory, and the teacher said that since dungeon monsters would not be able to survive outside the dungeon, no organization could utilize them. The only thing the invading forces that were able to capture dungeons could do was either use them for gathering resources like mana stones or simply destroy the dungeon.

Normally, invading forces would not destroy dungeons and would just let them be, since destroying them was incredibly hard and was not worth it due to the fact that once a dungeon was destroyed, it would simply reappear in another location.

Hearing that, Anton wondered if there was a fixed number of dungeons in this world because of the fact that they would simply reappear somewhere else if they got destroyed by powerful beings or even natural phenomena like earthquakes.

After a few minutes of trying to level up his ladder Paladin character, Anton gave up since he was truly tired of casting spells since he just spent a grueling three or four hours doing so on top of the Mendoza's walls. He knew that his tiredness was just laziness because he was able to cast spells nonstop inside the dungeons.

Anton decided to just watch a movie, but due to the comfortable temperature inside the barracks, he soon fell asleep. He woke up when he heard some noises and saw that it was his squad members entering the barracks. Not only they, but a lot of soldiers who were working with the same schedule as theirs also entered the barracks.

"Hey, it's nice and cool in here! I thought that it would be difficult for us to rest during the day since it's still the hottest part of the summer," Kent said while he sat in his bed.

Charlie offered to cast the cleaning spell on everyone, and they all accepted since it appeared that they were exhausted enough not to want to take a bath.

Anton loved the Cleaning spells, and they were the only spells that he kept using from outside his Diablo II system. He knew for a fact that once a wizard managed to reach the level where they could memorize the said spell, they would immediately do so. It was so convenient. Being able to cast Cleaning spells meant that a wizard did not need to brush their teeth or wash their bum after defecating, and taking a shower was done for leisure.

Fortunately, only a small number of the population could cast Cleaning spells, so cleaning products were still developing normally. Although, because of the fact that this world was still very technologically behind due to dependence on magic, Anton sometimes missed the convenience of modern products.

"Why is it cold here, and why are the windows closed?" Menard asked.

"Do you see those glowing things in the corners? Those are my air conditioner magic items. They produce cold air, which is why it's cool in here. The windows needed to be closed, though, to preserve mana," Anton said after stretching.

"I'm sorry for waking you up, Anton. How long does your item's mana last?" Charlie asked.

"Since they would probably be only used during the daytime, they should last for around three months. If they are in use all the time, probably a couple of months. There's an indicator in the items that would inform the owners how much mana is left, but recharging them is simple enough. A spell caster just needs to cast spells on its mana storage, and it would refill automatically," Anton said.

"That is one of the better items when it comes to controlling temperature that I've seen! Where did you buy them and how much?" Charlie continued asking.

"Oh, I made them," Anton replied simply.

"You can also make enchanted items?! You're an extremely powerful wizard, and you're an enchanted item maker, and you're only eighteen years old? Guys, I will state this now. I think we're in the presence of a legendary being in the making!" Menard exclaimed jokingly.

"Stop that! You're inflating my ego," Anton said, trying to act shy, and when everyone saw that, they all laughed.

"Menard is right, though. We've all seen the powerful spells that decimated the undead, and all of us in our squad recognize them as your spells. Because of your actions, there was no need for the melee soldiers in our section to engage the enemies. The awe-inspiring part was the non-stop casting of the spells. I will probably be an old man to be able to do something like what you've done earlier, and I still doubt that I would reach that kind of power," Charlie said while wearing a contemplative face.

"I have seen wizards as powerful as you. I did grow up in Ormunda, but I haven't seen anyone as young as you," Deron added.

"Enough about that. Let's go to the mess hall to eat. I'm starving!" Dagur suddenly shouted, and they all stood up and exited the barracks.

After everyone had eaten, they all started exploring the nearby areas. They intentionally left the women since they planned to go somewhere that would probably cause the three women in their squad to frown. They planned to search for the brothels. As expected, the brothel business was thriving. Anton had read somewhere that these kinds of businesses would always thrive in times of war.

Inside one of the brothels that the group randomly entered, Anton chose someone blonde and fresh-looking. He realized that he definitely had a type. He kept choosing a girl who was his opposite. Petite and blonde hair.

Before Anton and the brothel girl started their business inside one of the brothel's rooms, Anton added the girl to his party system and activated his Prayer Aura. He didn't want to acquire any sexually transmitted diseases, even if he could cure them immediately. He also cast the cleaning spells toward the two of them and the whole room, making sure that everything was sparkling clean.

The girl who called herself Brenda just smiled at Anton's actions. After that, Anton tried his best to copy the moves that action stars had shown him in the action films that he had watched before. It appeared that Brenda was delighted by Anton's moves, but she could just be a great actress. Either way, Anton managed to release some stress that had accumulated over the weeks.
