Infinite wealth In A New World

Chapter 269: Vengeance And Ruin

"Who are you guys?!" Voco screamed, his voice strained and weak. Tears mixed with blood and sweat rolled down his bruised face. He was strapped tightly to a chair, his body a canvas of brutal efficiency: deep cuts, broken bones, and missing fingers.

Jinx stared at him, her bloody dagger held loosely in her hand. The air in the mansion was thick with a metallic scent.

"What other torture is there?" she asked, turning to Star, her tone matter-of-fact, like a chef asking about ingredients.

Star slowly raised her gaze from her Cosmic Brain. "You already used all the ones known by me," she stated clinically:

"You marked him, cut off his fingers, removed both his toes and fingernails, and even pulled his teeth. You electrocuted him, and broke his legs. I think you've done quite enough. Just look at the mess on him and the ground." Star slowly stood up, stepping carefully around a pool of blood.

"You... You have an advanced Cosmic Brain... Are you a noble?" Voco asked with difficulty, blood flowing from a crack in his skull, clinging to the only vestige of power he recognized.

"A noble?" Jinx scoffed, amused.

"This here is Princess Star, the elder sister of Ericka," Jinx introduced, emphasizing the title that meant both power and absolute vengeance.

"Prin... Princess!! Then that man who bought me..."

"Yep," Star confirmed, closing her Cosmic Brain with a snap. "He is my elder brother, the King. Now, do you know how badly you messed up?"

"He is already heading to Viper's territory. Our primary jobs have been given: clean up the trash. Let's go," Star said, walking toward the door.

"Wait!" Voco screamed, summoning his last shred of strength. "I offended you—I understand that. But what have I done to you!" He directed his desperate question at Jinx.

"What you have done to me," Jinx repeated. She walked toward him and delivered a powerful, precise punch that wasn't meant to kill, but to shock. The blow sent Voco and the chair crashing to the ground.

"Do you remember Gina?!" she asked coldly, standing over him.

"Gina? Who is that?" Voco asked, his vision restricted by blood. His mind was too compartmentalized; he didn't remember the victims, only the transactions. "I don't know anyone by that name," he admitted truthfully.

"Okay, what about the property in the north district of the Star Nation? The one your men killed someone to acquire, five months ago," Jinx clarified, squatting down, her dagger dancing menacingly in her hand.

Hearing her, Voco's eyes widened in horror. "You mean... those kids? The orphans?"

"Yes," Jinx confirmed. "I am their aunt. And the woman your pigs killed was like my mother." Jinx slowly stood up, her revenge secured.

"Don't worry... after I took care of you, I will deal with them. They must be drunk and celebrating right now."

Voco watched in utter horror as Jinx's body began to shift. The disguise melted away, and in seconds, her Dragoness appearance was replaced by the beautiful, ethereal form of an Elf, with long, flowing white hair.

"You... You are the Queen of Shifters?!" Voco whispered, the horror of facing a legendary figure draining the last remnants of hope.

"Yes." Jinx raised her leg, and with indifferent power, smashed her heel down on his skull, shattering it into blood and brain pieces.

".....?!"

Star was momentarily stunned. 'Isn't that too ruthless?' she thought, the brutality of Jinx's execution surprising even her.

Jinx stared down at her ruined shoe and groaned in irritation. "Shit! I now have dirt on my shoe."

Hearing her flat, utterly mundane complaint, Star could only shake her head. She walked toward the door.

"Come on. Let's light this place on fire. We have work to do," she said, ready to move on. Jinx nodded, dropping the dagger and following her.

[Mistress' Motel Room.]

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Mistress—the Underworld Queen—wrapped a fluffy white towel tightly around her body and walked toward the door, a confident, seductive smile on her face. 'Having such a wealthy backer like Xanor is a very good thing. He's already eager.' she thought, opening the door.

She was met with empty space.

"....?!"

"Are you really going to give yourself up just to have a backer, Mistress?"

Mistress snapped her head over her shoulder, staring at a figure sitting casually on her unmade bed. The woman was a stunning, deadly Beastify with unsettling, mesmerizing snake eyes and large bat wings folded neatly behind her.

"Who are you?" Mistress asked, her guard instantly rising. Her senses screamed a warning. 'A Peak Celestial Rank… Why is she here?'

Star hugged her purple, fully-starred grand class sword to her chest, staring at Mistress with a small, dangerous smirk.

"You know," Star began, her voice calm and chilling. "We actually planned to take you all hostage and let the law decide your fate. But the King changed his mind." She continued, her voice hardening:

"You have two simple choices. One: Tell me where your slaves are kept, and you will have a quick, painless death. Two: Attack me, and you will have a slow, excruciatingly painful death." Star's smirk widened, daring her.

"Are those the only choices you have to offer?! Then I will have to fight you!" Mistress snapped, rage replacing fear.

WHOOSH!

A fully-starred Epic Class combat armor instantly materialized over her naked body, followed by a long, specialized sword appearing in her grasp.

"You are only at the Heavenly Rank, based on your aura. What gives you the confidence to fight me? Is it because I'm not wearing any equipment?" Star asked with a raised eyebrow, her purple sword still hugged to her chest.

"Fool! All my men are downstairs. The moment a fight breaks out, they'll all rush over!" Mistress shouted, banking on numbers and surprise. Without hesitation, she launched herself toward Star.

BAM!!!

Star lunged forward, moving with impossible speed, appearing directly in front of Mistress in a blur.

"So fast?" Mistress was stunned, watching in slow motion as Star released the purple sword and threw a simple, yet devastating, punch.

'Fuck! I can't dodge this... I will have to put it all on my armor durability!' she thought desperately.

BAM!!!!

Star's focused, energy-infused punch struck the Epic Class armor. The impact was phenomenal—Mistress instantly vomited a mouthful of blood and dropped to the ground, her armor sparking violently.

"You... You actually destroyed my Core with a single blow?" she stammered in shock.

"Humans are truly weak when they rely on external power," Star scoffed, picking up her sword and hugging it to her chest once more.

"I hope you are ready for what happens next," she asked, her gaze cold and without mercy.
