The space tore open in the open wilderness, and both Sunny and Lilith dropped from the shimmering tear.
Lilith, a crimson blur, dissolved and reappeared a significant distance from Sunny, a silhouette against the rapidly darkening sky. She hovered, an image of contained, chilling power. Sunny landed with a soft thud, and looked up at her with a tight, challenging smirk.
Lilith's gaze lingered on him for a long moment, cold and assessing, before sweeping across the desolate landscape. The wilderness seemed to shrink under her scrutiny.
"I am impressed…" She slowly descended, her landing as light as ash.
"A planet, isolated and ready for… a funeral." She raised a claw, and a small, malignant ball of dark flame coalesced on its tip.
"But… Bringing me here is useless. Fighting me here is an insult to your intelligence, Sunny." Her voice was low, a velvet threat.
"You should know you will have to sacrifice more than this planet to even scratch me."
She flicked her wrist, a casual, dismissive gesture, and the ball of dark flame shot toward Sunny. He met it with a wave of his hand, not a block, but a redirection—the energy dissolving into the air.
"Strange. Your stats register at God rank, but your active skills possess the strength of a first order. The restrictions on you are a tight chain, aren't they?" Lilith's lips curled into a predatory smile, her eyes glittering with genuine amusement:
"And you believed you could defeat me?!" She threw her head back, a shriek of demonic laughter tearing through the air.
Lilith surged upward, and as she ascended, the sky above instantly curdled to a thick, suffocating blood-red. The air grew heavy, smelling of ozone and iron.
"God Wolf! Show me the true weight of your achieved strength!" she roared, and with the command, lightning bolts of pure red energy—not fire, but raw, contained spirit power—dropped like hammer blows toward Sunny.
'This is it. No more holding back. The gamble begins.' Sunny's mind raced, not with panic, but with a terrifying clarity.
'She thinks my restraint is a weakness. I need her to believe that.'
"You should know by now! That I am not some ant you can crush with these toys!!!" His voice was a guttural snarl, laced with feigned frustration.
BOOOOOOOM!
A dense, blinding torrent of Spirit energy erupted from Sunny, a tempest of controlled power. He unleashed his aura just as the lightning struck, engulfing him in an explosion of red and black light that sent deep, agonizing cracks across the planet's surface.
The smoke cleared, revealing the colossal form of God Wolf. Four massive, feathered wings spanned out behind a magnificent werewolf covered in deep red and obsidian fur.
"I am not surprised you have five bloodlines. A nice collection, like beads on a string." Lilith descended again, circling him with a look of insatiable hunger.
"But to me… that's insufficient." She licked her lips, her eyes tracing the magnificent muscles beneath his fur.
The hunger in her eyes shifted from mere power to something calculatingly seductive. "Why fight? What about you work for me? You will not only get limitless resources, you will gain power beyond your current chains, and women—any woman of your dreams, including me." Her smirk was chillingly confident, a mask of ultimate temptation.
"I don't particularly enjoy men, but you can be my only man. You just need to accept, and the lower, upper, and great worlds will bow at your feet, with you ruling them all. This offer comes once—"
Sunny cut her off, the golden light in his eyes flaring. "Sorry, Lilith. I already have everything you offered."
Lilith's expression hardened, a flicker of genuine irritation crossing her features. "Everything? By joining me, the lower world—your precious Eldoria—will be safe. You will be the one and only ruler, second only to me." She pressed, appealing to the noble streak she knew had to exist in a warrior of his stature.
"As I said." Sunny clenched his fist, and the air around it ignited into controlled, searing flames. The rage he projected was real, but beneath it was a cold, absolute resolve.
"I got everything you offered. Because I will protect it myself."
BOOOOOOOM!!
He vanished. Not a teleport, but a pure, blinding burst of speed. He reappeared directly before Lilith, his body a conduit for all his channeled power, delivering a straight punch intended to break reality.
BAM!!!
The attack, fueled by the combined might of his bloodlines, skills, and full stats, struck a shimmering, hidden barrier before Lilith. The ethereal shield instantly shattered, the force of the collision throwing the great mother fifty meters back.
Sunny didn't pause. He shot toward her again, driven by a desperate, fleeting window of opportunity.
'I have to hit her hard enough to make her vulnerable, or at least angry enough to make a mistake.'
"If I was fighting your true form, I would surely be dead! But you yourself are forgetting—this is only a fragment!" His second punch connected to her cheek, not perfectly, but with enough force that the impact sent her plummeting into the ground.
BOOOOOOOM!!
Lilith smashed into the earth, raising a colossal canopy of smoke and dust.
Sunny hovered above the cloud, his expression grim and unchanged. He was panting, the initial power surge having cost him dearly.
"Hahahaha!!!"
Lilith's demonic laughter erupted from the shroud of dust, a sound of mockery and malice.
"Hahahaha! A mere ant thinks he can defeat me!!"
BOOOOOOOM!!!!
A colossal, condensed wave of pure, dark energy shot out of the smoke and smashed into Sunny. It was a vicious counter-attack, a casual flick of power that shattered his momentum and threw him clear out of the planet's atmosphere.
Sunny used every ounce of his remaining strength to stabilize himself in the void, the cold darkness instantly stinging his wounds. He looked back at the dying planet in shock, a trickle of blood—his blood—flowing from his nose.
"Hahahaha!!! I haven't had this much fun in years! You amuse me, little wolf!"
Sunny listened to her voice, his shock turning to chilling horror as the planet beneath her—began to melt, literally. The entire world dissolved, the mass and core flowing like liquid light, contracting and entering Lilith's form.
'She just devoured a whole planet! With its core?!' Sunny's mind reeled. He stared at the minuscule red dot floating before him in the open void, now impossibly more potent.
"Don't die too quick, Sunny. I want you to watch."
BOOOOOOOM!!!
Sunny looked up. Above Lilith, a grotesque, monolithic skull head, easily thrice the size of the Earth, materialized. It opened its massive maw, and a terrifying suction began, drawing in everything from the surrounding space—planets, meteorites, and cosmic dust in its path.
"You love your world, right?!! I will let you watch as I devour everything! Today! You will be eliminated, and your world will be swallowed!" She yelled, pouring more and more of her boundless spirit energy into the grotesque Skull.
'She's not just fighting me, she's trying to eliminate the entire lower world as a what? As a show of power?' Sunny thought, his horror sharpening into ice-cold determination.
'This level of atrocity… I wouldn't have believed it possible.'
He watched in despair as two planets got swallowed in an instant, their screams silent in the vacuum.
'If I don't do anything, she will devour Eldoria!'
He closed his eyes, ignoring the pain and the freezing dark, and channeled the elements im his body, fusing the combined power of his bloodlines and all his skills, concentrating it into one single, impossible attack. This was it.
"Whatever you are doing is useless. It is only a matter of time." Lilith's voice was a sneer of absolute victory, as more planets were inexorably pulled out of their orbits, accelerating toward the colossal, open maw of the Skull.
"You are wrong." Sunny fixed his cold gaze on the skull.
"I already won."
