"You dare hit me?"

Qin Bao knelt on the ground, still not fully comprehending what had happened, but the pain in his leg was excruciating.

"That's right, I hit you, so what? What do you want to say?" Lin Fei laughed.

Lin Fei loved to mess with people like him, these second-generation officials who loved to bully others. Lin Fei loved to give them a taste of their own medicine.

Moreover, this Qin Bao was clearly Old Qin's grandson. Lin Fei hadn't expected to be so connected with these Commanders' grandsons. He had just dealt with Wu Yufeng not long ago, and now it was Commander Qin's grandson. Lin Fei didn't know how important Qin Bao was to Old Qin, but he knew that since Qin Bao had offended him, he wouldn't let Qin Bao go back unscathed.

Lin Fei laughed. He yanked Qin Bao's hair back, making him look up at Lin Fei, who coldly said, "You're thinking of revenge on me?"

Qin Bao paused. He hadn't expected Lin Fei to be so sharp and guess his thoughts. But even if Lin Fei guessed right, what of it? Qin Bao didn't think Lin Fei would dare to kill him.

"What? Are you afraid to say it? I want revenge on you. If you're brave enough, tell me your name. As long as I'm alive, I, Qin Bao, won't let you go!" Qin Bao threatened.

Lin Fei laughed. He had met Old Qin, who was dignified yet kind. But this grandson of his was arrogant and overbearing, almost...

"You speak as if I wouldn't dare kill you. This is a gun, right?"

As he spoke, Lin Fei glanced at Qin Bao's waist and reached for what appeared to be a gun.

Qin Bao heard Lin Fei's words but didn't believe Lin Fei would actually kill him. However, he hoped even more that Lin Fei wouldn't take his gun, so he quickly grabbed it and pulled the trigger towards Lin Fei.

Bang!

The bullet hit the ceiling, but now the gun was in Lin Fei's hand, aimed at Qin Bao's head, as he asked, "Qin Bao, is that right? My name is Lin Fei. Ever heard of me?"

Qin Bao trembled; he had heard of Lin Fei's notorious reputation, which was widespread throughout Capital City. Several years ago, Lin Fei betrayed the country and returned years later, even promoted to Admiral. Such achievements were unrivaled.

The most crucial point is that Qin Bao heard that Wu Lao's grandson, one of the three Commanders, was killed by Lin Fei. Yet, even with that, Commander Wu did not hold Lin Fei accountable. This was worth pondering deeply.

"Aren't you afraid of my grandfather?!" Qin Bao lost his confidence, knowing Lin Fei's fierce reputation and high position. If his father hadn't been a General, he wouldn't be this arrogant.

Lin Fei slapped Qin Bao's face with the barrel and said, "Do you know why I came back? I went to meet your grandfather. Your grandfather isn't like you; you inherited all of the Commander's arrogance, did you?"

Qin Bao, feeling beaten by Lin Fei, was furious, shouting, "Lin Fei, don't push me too far!"

"Too far?"

Lin Fei aimed the gun at Qin Bao's head, saying, "Do you think this is too far now? I killed Wu Yufeng with no issues. If I kill you, I believe there won't be any problem either."

"You dare!" Qin Bao stubbornly said.

Bang!

The gun in Lin Fei's hand fired, but it hit Qin Bao's thigh.

"Lin Fei, fuck you!"

Bang bang!

Two more shots hit Qin Bao's other undamaged thigh, and blood flowed profusely.

"If you dare touch me again, I'll make you suffer!"

Bang bang!

Lin Fei's response was with bullets again, hitting Qin Bao's arms, leaving both arms and legs incapacitated. Qin Bao felt the severity of Lin Fei's torment, purely teaching him a lesson, showing complete fearlessness.

"Go on, why stop talking? I was planning to pierce your ears too, then you can go complain to your grandfather. I'll be here waiting," Lin Fei laughed.

Qin Bao finally fell silent, listening to every word Lin Fei said, finally understanding that Lin Fei was not someone he could afford to provoke.

Lin Fei released Qin Bao, found a chair, sat down, and said, "So, tell me, how are you going to apologize and compensate me?"

Qin Bao truly saw what it meant to be shamelessly defiant. Even though it was his fault initially, he was the one bleeding, yet Lin Fei threatened him to compensate and apologize. Qin Bao, being the Commander's grandson, found it impossible to apologize to a rogue.

"I'm sorry, I was wrong..."

When the time comes, a gentleman understands vengeance can wait ten years. Qin Bao found this phrase fitting now; he understood that one can't afford to be proud under a roof, so he set aside the problem of being the Commander's grandson for survival.

"Good, knowing your fault means big improvements. It means the Commander taught you well, and in the future, don't bully others with your power, understood?" Lin Fei lectured with legs crossed.

Qin Bao cursed Lin Fei repeatedly in his heart, but obediently responded, "Yes, I understand."

Lin Fei nodded satisfyingly, saying, "Good. Tell me how you plan to compensate for my loss, including my wife's loss."

Mu Shanshan, fixing her hair, walked over to Lin Fei and asked, "When did you come back without telling me?"

Lin Fei placed the gun on the table and embraced Mu Shanshan, letting her sit on his lap, saying, "Sorry, for wronging you."

Mu Shanshan shook her head.

"But I'll make sure this bastard compensates us," Lin Fei said.

Then Lin Fei looked at Qin Bao and asked, "Have you thought about it? How will you compensate us?"

Qin Bao thought hard and finally said, "I... I'll give you money, as much as you want."

Lin Fei shook his head and said, "Do you think we lack money? Call your grandfather. I want to talk about how you'll compensate us."

Qin Bao's face paled immediately. Grandfather? Although his grandfather was a Commander, he feared him the most, because his grandfather never permitted bringing up Commander's matters outside.

But Qin Bao never imagined Lin Fei actually knew his grandfather and now demanded him to call him.
