Seeing the gap of the giant gate widening, although everyone present had not yet recovered from the shock of discovering that Leo Ray was also the Chosen Son of God, they all gathered their thoughts, not daring to be careless.
After all, what lay ahead was the depths of an unknown Dragon Nest, and at the end of this unknown space was undoubtedly the Coronation Ground of the giant dragons, and the place to have the final battle with that mastermind.
As the giant gate opened, the first thing that caught everyone's eye was the dense mist emitting the aura of illusions, occasionally reflecting bizarre visions. This mist was something everyone was already familiar with.
"Guard Team and Dispelling Team, move forward, prevent the spread of the Dragon Mirage!"
With a wave of his hand, Konet, who was already poised to act, led a group of armored Dwarf Elf experts manipulating Tier 6 Alchemical Golems, and ceremonial clad Dwarf Elf Illusionists controlling Dispelling Alchemy Golems to start clearing the path for our side.
Under the joint effort of over a hundred Dispelling Alchemy Golems, a nearly transparent giant gray barrier condensed out of thin air, and then, following the cautious footsteps of the Dwarf Elf experts, pushed the mist that leaked from the gate back.
"Let's move forward as well."
Leo Ray led the other experts closely behind, stepping into the interior of the giant gate one after another.
After entering the interior of the giant gate, the previously tight-knit team of Dwarf Elf experts slowly dispersed, causing the giant gray barrier that had formed to extend accordingly,
As the giant gray barrier advanced, the mist ahead became even thinner, and the scene inside the gate was gradually revealed before our group's eyes.
Compared to the outside of the giant gate, the space inside was noticeably more spacious, with both sides still engraved with magic patterns on the cliff walls, seemingly nothing particularly unusual.
"I thought the mastermind would pull some tricks inside the gate, but it appears not."
Serene, deployed on the right side of the team, furrowed her brow and said with a hint of disdain, "When we reach the Coronation Ground, I will personally burn that mastermind to nothing!"
"Even after centuries, your personality hasn't changed, not even dragon scales are as stubborn as your mouth."
Felix, also deployed beside Serene by Leo Ray, snorted dismissively.
Hearing this, Serene bared her teeth, about to retort, but was interrupted by Konet's puzzled voice from the front: "Your Majesty of the Humans, everyone, do you smell a peculiar scent?"
"Indeed, there's a faint, perplexing aroma."
Leo Ray quietly mobilized his own energy, enhancing his five senses to the utmost, and nodded slightly.
This scent was a mixture of decay, earthy musk, and a smell akin to rust, vaguely lingering in the air, appearing deep and mysterious.
"Could this be an illusion created by the Dragon Mirage?"
Louise tilted her head, offering her opinion.
"Impossible, although the Dragon Mirage here is more potent, our Dispelling Alchemy Golems are not just for display, they've undergone centuries of improvement within this Dragon Mirage."
Broy shook his head, standing closely beside a Tier 6 Golem Puppet, speaking with full confidence.
After the battle five hundred years ago, although the few Tier 6 experts of the Dwarf Elf fell one after another due to heavy injuries, their knowledge and legacy were preserved.
Such as the Tier 6 Alchemical Golems and Dispelling Alchemy Golems capable of countering Tier 6 Dragon Mirages. While the current successors, including Konet and the Dwarf Elves, have not yet reached Tier 6, they are just a step away.
After Broy spoke, the two Tier 6 Dragon Clan experts beside Serene nodded in agreement.
Being of the Dragon Clan themselves, they were absolutely unaffected by the Tier 6 Dragon Mirage, yet they also caught a whiff of that faintly present strange scent.
"It doesn't seem to be a product of some poison miasma or forbidden death spells, yet it seems to emanate a mysterious death energy."
An enigmatic look appeared on Shuert's carved-like old face, frowning as he said, "I've never encountered such a scent before."
Upon hearing Shuert's words, everyone tightened their grip on their weapons, becoming highly alert; whatever lay ahead in the depths of this Dragon Nest was certainly not benign.
While everyone was filled with a solemn awareness, Konet and those dispersing the mist at the front suddenly paused, adopting a battle stance, as if facing a great enemy.
Seeing this, Leo Ray and the others in the rear of the team prepared for battle while immediately looking forward.
The space ahead suddenly opened up vastly, and in the rather sparse mist loomed giant shadows one after another.
Though unclear, judging from the thick necks and solid bodies, these were giant dragons, staggered in height, stretching into the depths of the undispersed mist.
Witnessing this scene, amidst the surprise, Leo Ray focused his gaze.
He saw these giant dragons of various shapes, some standing, some lying down, and more entangled in battle postures, revealing dragon claws and interlocking fangs, appearing intense, like a battlefield of dragon clan mutual slaughter.
Yet, even more puzzling was that these giant dragons were all frozen in place, bizarrely still, as if time had suddenly been extracted, reminiscent of the petrified state Leo Ray had once encountered in the Barrier Region of the Winged Race.
