"What's going on? Why are there gunshots behind us? Why are there such piercing screams?" The faces of Zhou Tianyu, Zhang Hangkui, and the others were etched with deep confusion.

They had entered a passage where doors opened automatically and sealed shut behind them without leaving a single crack. Therefore, even with their incredibly powerful Divine Sense, they couldn't perceive what was happening behind them.

Zhang Bin's excited voice suddenly crackled in the earpieces of Zhou Tianyu, Zhang Hangkui, and Zhao Dawei. "I just activated this base's mechanisms and killed 500 SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans in one go!" He then burst into a wild laugh. "Hahaha... hahaha..."

Indeed, using such a passage to eliminate so many powerful SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans was a monumental achievement. It was equivalent to wiping out one-tenth of the Genetically Enhanced Humans in the entire base. How difficult would it have been to eliminate so many of them anywhere else? Having witnessed the power of the Genetically Enhanced Humans firsthand, they naturally understood that creating so many was no simple task. Now that five hundred SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans had been eliminated in one fell swoop, it was a massive benefit for China.

"ARGH! This is infuriating!"

However, the fifteen SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans were beyond furious, each of them becoming exceptionally crazed. They didn't retreat. Instead, they brutishly pushed forward, destroying every mechanism and trap in their path as they continued their pursuit of Zhou Tianyu's group.

"Run, the SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans are coming!" Zhang Bin's voice once again rang out in their earpieces.

So, they continued to sprint away as fast as they could.

Meanwhile, Zhang Bin was also running for his life. Jack, Ava, and Sandra were leading dozens of powerful Genetically Enhanced Humans in a desperate hunt to kill him. No matter how formidable the traps were, they were useless against the three SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans. Instead, it was the SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans who were being killed in large numbers by the traps and Thermal Weapons.

Tutu, head toward the place with the beautiful woman's coffin! It seems to have some really powerful traps, Zhang Bin yelled mentally.

Zhang Bin gritted his teeth and sprinted away, following the route Tutu provided. This time, he didn't take a direct path but skirted the central region, moving along the periphery. At the same time, he had Tutu guide Zhao Dawei's group so they could all meet up.

Zhang Bin entered a narrow corridor where doors opened automatically one after another. As soon as he passed, they slammed shut, blocking Jack and the others' pursuit.

"You can't escape!" Jack, overcome with fury, roared maniacally. He coordinated with Ava and Sandra, using flames, ice, and heavy strikes to smash through the doors one by one, staying hot on Zhang Bin's heels.

However, this slowed them down, and catching Zhang Bin was proving to be more difficult than they expected. But they couldn't give up. Zhang Bin knew their greatest secret—their cannibalism—which meant he had to be eliminated.

"Faster, faster, faster!"

As soon as they broke through a door, they shot forward like streaks of light, their speed at least ten times greater than Zhang Bin's. The sheer number of doors they had to destroy was the only thing slowing them down.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Suddenly, countless gun barrels protruded from the walls and opened fire, unleashing a tempest of bullets upon them.

"Damn it! Why was he unharmed? Why do the traps only activate for us?" Jack's team was furious enough to go mad.

They conjured terrifying shields of flame, ice, and surging water, which spun wildly around them, deflecting all the bullets and even destroying the walls. However, the SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans couldn't withstand the assault, and dozens more died in an instant.

"Fall back and prepare for the third Genetic Enhancement! Stop the pursuit. The three of us are enough," Jack commanded, his voice laced with rage as he glanced back and saw only about forty of them left.

It was a smart decision. In such a terrifying base, the SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans simply couldn't protect themselves. Continuing the chase was a death sentence. Their earlier losses were a result of being blinded by anger, allowing the mechanisms to kill so many of their experts. The forty or so survivors obediently retreated.

The trio, of course, continued to hunt Zhang Bin.

Zhang Bin, however, was in a state of utter shock, as he had overheard their conversation through Tutu.

Genetically Enhanced Humans can enhance themselves? Have they built another secret base outside? Did they create their own enhancement devices, or did they just take them from this base? They've already undergone two enhancements? And now they're preparing for a third? How powerful will they become after a third enhancement? Will they evolve into SSS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans?

His briefly relaxed mood immediately grew heavy again. The crisis of the Genetically Enhanced Humans was far from over.

Without the SS-level Genetically Enhanced Humans holding them back, Jack's trio became even faster. They were like three Demon Gods, radiating an overwhelming killing intent as they drew closer and closer to Zhang Bin.

"You can't escape! You absolutely can't escape! I'm going to eat you! I'm going to eat you bite by bite!" Jack yelled manically.

"Faster, faster, faster!"

Zhang Bin was running for his life, sweat pouring from his body like rain. This was because many of the traps in this section were broken; there were even piles of white bones scattered on the ground. As a result, there were no mechanisms left to hinder his pursuers.

He was plunged into a crisis of unprecedented scale.
