He let out a long breath, exhausted but proud. His eyes wandered down, and for a moment, a strange thought crossed his mind.
'If my bones and muscles got this strong… then what about… that part?'
He blinked and looked down briefly. 'If it also became tougher, wouldn't that… cause problems during penetration?' he thought awkwardly.
Ethan shook his head quickly, pushing the thought aside. "Not the time to check that out," he murmured, forcing a small laugh before sitting down.
Otlo and Randall admired Ethan's body as if looking at some piece of art and shouted.
"Congratulations my Lord."
"Congratulations!"
"Haa…It's nothing."
The process had nearly destroyed him, but Ethan knew this was only the beginning.
...…
Back at the office..
Ethan sat quietly at his desk, his hand resting on his head.
The room was dimly lit, and the table before him was scattered with papers and bottles. His eyes fell on the three C-rank Bloodline Potential Potions. Their faint glow filled the room with a soft light.
He couldn't decide whom to give them to. The choice weighed heavily on his mind.
"Should I give them to the children first," he murmured, "or my wives... or maybe the loyal people serving me?"
As for himself, Ethan was confident he could break through without the potion. But for others, this small bottle could mean a huge difference.
He leaned back, deep in thought. "If I give it to the children, should I do it now or wait until they grow up?"
Unable to decide, he asked the system.
[For children, it is best to give them the potion in early childhood. This will give them a strong foundation. If given later, they will lose an important chance to grow faster.]
Ethan nodded slowly. "That makes sense."
His eyes softened. "So, the children will have it first."
Then he thought about his wives. "Lia is a beastwoman. Her growth depends on her bloodline. She only lacked opportunities and proper training. With enough resources, she can grow much faster."
He paused. "And as for Sophia…"
He was about to decide when something struck his mind. "System, you mentioned something about dual cultivation before, right?"
[Yes. It is similar to dual cultivation, but not exactly the same. Just as you can receive potential from your wives through mating, you can also transfer your potential to them.]
Ethan's eyes widened slightly. "I see. That solves a lot of problems."
He sighed in relief. "Good. Then I can help them grow without wasting potions."
He tapped the table lightly. "Now, what about the others?"
For a while, he remained silent. Then he made up his mind. "Let's start with Ray. Miranda is still too young. I'll wait for her. A lot can happen in a few years. Maybe I'll get more by then."
He stood up and left the room.
Outside, in the training field, the sound of a sword cutting through the air echoed.
Swish! Swish!
Ray was practicing again. His movements were sharp and serious. Sweat rolled down his face, but he didn't stop. Every swing carried the weight of determination.
He had been training every day, pushing himself beyond limits. Ethan had told him to take things slowly, but Ray couldn't.
He closed his eyes for a moment and remembered that day when his father had spoken to him.
"Ray," Ethan had said in a calm voice. "Tell me honestly. Are you training so hard because you want my inheritance, or is there something else?"
That question had hit Ray deeply.
At first, when he was younger, he truly wanted the inheritance. He wanted to be the next Lord of Blank Estate. He dreamed of sitting where his father sat, leading the family and the people.
But as time passed and more of his siblings were born, that dream faded. He realized something else.
His father's power... it wasn't ordinary.
Sometimes Ray would see Ethan's strength, the calm in his eyes, and felt something strange.
It was his gut feeling telling him that his father was walking a path far beyond what others could reach.
That thought both inspired and frightened him.
What if one day his father wasn't here? What if enemies stronger than anyone else came for their family when his father was missing?
Who would protect them?
Who would stand against the danger when his father was gone?
The question kept echoing in his heart.
He clenched his sword tighter. "It has to be me," he whispered to himself. "If Father isn't here, I have to be the one to protect everyone."
From that day on, he trained harder than ever.
Even when his muscles burned and his hands bled, he didn't stop. He wanted to be strong enough to protect his mother, his siblings, and even his father's name.
As he trained, he felt a familiar presence behind him. He turned and saw Ethan standing a few steps away, watching him quietly.
Ethan's expression was calm, but his eyes carried pride.
"What are you thinking so deeply about, Ray?" Ethan asked, walking closer.
Ray quickly wiped the sweat off his face. "Nothing much, Father. Just... about swordsmanship."
Ethan chuckled softly. "Hmm. I see." He patted Ray's shoulder.
"You've improved a lot. Keep going, but don't push too hard. Strength grows with time and patience."
"As kids, have some fun."
"Yes, Father," Ray said, bowing slightly.
Ethan nodded and smiled faintly as he looked at Ray observing his condition.
His chest felt heavy, and his mind was full of mixed feelings.
He didn't know what kind of enemies his father had made or what kind of power he was chasing, but he could feel that one day, something big would happen.
And when that day came, he wanted to be ready.
He raised his sword again. The blade glimmered faintly in the light.
"I'll get stronger," he whispered under his breath. "So that one day, even if Father isn't here, I can still protect everyone."
He tightened his grip under Ethan's scrutinized gaze and asked,"Father, what brought you here?"
"Damn..I forgot about that?"
"I have a gift for you."
The serious eyes of Ray glowed a bit hearing the word gift making Ethan smirk.
'At least his reaction is as normal as other kids when it comes to gifts.'
