Drawing Cards in the Middle Ages to Rise in Ranks

Chapter 189: Edict Demon

Anahad argued weakly: "This lord is merely a wizard who specializes in dark magic, not an Abyss Lord."

Losa kept a stern face and said nothing.

Furinjira's lips curled as she turned her head away, stifling a laugh.

Losa frowned and said: "I'll give you one last chance to speak, or else I'll kill you, extract your soul, and throw it into the Fire Prison for torture."

He released his aura without reservation, since this stubborn Hanna insisted on believing he was an Abyss Lord from the Abyss, he found no need to explain himself.

Bang.

The door was pushed open, Captain Hog rushed inside with a sailor's knife, his ghostly green body.

Captain Hog glanced around, put away his weapon, and said with some embarrassment: "Sorry, my lord, seeing you release your aura like that, I thought you were in danger."

"Ghost!"

Hanna exclaimed: "Anahad, you fool seduced by the demon, he can actually command such a terrifying ghost, even as a wizard, he's the most evil kind. The sealing item falling into his hands is disastrous!"

Anahad's expression shifted slightly, feeling an unavoidable sense of making deals with a tiger.

In his heart, he agreed with Hanna's view, but what room did he have for resistance?

As long as he can maintain the seal, prevent retaliation against the school, cooperation with the evil wizard is the only choice.

"Enough!"

Losa's face showed coldness: "I've given you enough chances, but since you're unwilling to speak, then off to hell you go."

Anahad opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing.

Captain Hog held his scimitar, placing it against Hanna's neck. He showed a trace of melancholy: "Poor fellow, you've offended my lord, I have no choice but to send you away."

Losa wanted to say something but hesitated—for he only meant to scare Hanna, yet Hog, this reckless fool, barged in.

How to end this now?

If he told Hog, "I was joking," his carefully crafted image would collapse.

Seeing Hanna close his eyes, revealing a heroic and righteous expression.

He glanced contemptuously at Anahad, sneering: "Ha, I will not bow to evil."

"Brave!"

"But you shouldn't be disrespectful to the lord."

On Hog's gloomy face, there was a trace of praise, yet his hand holding the weapon didn't relax, slightly exerting force.

The blade broke the skin.

Blood seeped out.

The next moment.

A terrifying evil aura surged forth, sending Captain Hog flying out.

"Next, let me talk with you."

Behind Hanna, a section of black mist connected to his spine slowly rose.

Hog's face showed a trace of anger, as he got up from the ground, surrounded by ghostly green flames.

He, who once ruled the Mediterranean, whom even the Knights of the Holy Church couldn't handle, being sent flying like a minor minion was the utmost humiliation!

The black mist gradually took the form of an attractive woman, showing only the upper body, linked to Hanna's spine at the waist, while Hanna's eyes rolled back, completely unconscious.

Prajna moved slightly, coming to Losa's side, the Shield forged from the Hell Gate Fragment slowly rotating.

Furinjira was surrounded by dense blood aura, and on this attractive woman's body was filled with an intense sense of danger.

Losa forced himself to calm down and asked: "You are Eliza, or should I call you Elise?"

The attractive woman smiled: "Either is fine, Abyss Lords have no gender, I guess you most likely prefer women, that's why I assumed this form to talk to you."

The situation was obvious.

The so-called "sealed demon" had long escaped from the sealing object and dwelt within Hanna.

However, it seemed unable to exert its power, in a weakened state.

Of course, it was more likely it was intimidated by Losa's "Dark Lord" aura.

Moreover, no matter the current strength of Prajna and Furinjira, their peak powers were extremely strong, by aura alone, they undoubtedly stood at the pinnacle of this world.

Losa, having such powerful subordinates, being regarded as a formidable Wizard Lord, was reasonable.

Losa cursed Anahad in his heart for trapping him, yet outwardly he remained calm and relaxed: "Speak, what do you wish to discuss? Release your vessel?"

Elise licked her enticing red lips, pleading in a syrupy sweet voice: "Let me go once, and once I recover, I can grant you any wish, whether it's treasure, gold, silver, or beautiful ladies—everything."

"With my assistance, you could easily ascend the King's throne as a casual affair."

Losa furrowed his brow: "Even clueless country children know that trading with demons leads to no good outcome."

Elise puffed her ample chest, smiling: "Such a powerful wizard like you, afraid of signing a small contract with a demon?—You haven't acted yet, isn't that proof you're tempted?"

Losa thought to himself, Tempted? Not in the least. It's more like afraid of not being able to win.

If I were truly as fierce as my aura suggested, I wouldn't even bother talking, just crush directly.

Anahad's face turned grim upon hearing Elise's words; if these two "people" reach an agreement, he would be the eternal sinner of the Warsaw School.

Yet faced with their equally formidable aura collision, he couldn't speak a word.

Losa chuckled softly, ambiguously: "Then you should know, with my power, what can't I get on my own that I must rely on your charity?"

Elise's face became slightly stiff: "That's true, but there are some specialties of Hell and the Abyss that you wouldn't easily obtain—like the casting materials you desire, establishing a good cooperative relationship with an Abyss Lord like me is an excellent choice."

Losa stood up with disdain: "Such cheap terms, forget it."

Elise's face changed, enveloped by black demon fire: "Fine then, let's mutually destroy, I'll turn you and this city into ashes together!"

Losa said lightly: "Only you die, regarding this city—who cares?"

The atmosphere fell into stagnation.

Losa's Dark Lord aura, mixed with the Dragon Bloodline's pressure, produced some chemical reaction, becoming increasingly strong over time, almost completely overwhelming Elise.

Elise remained silent for a moment, the black demon fire on her dissipating: "State your terms, cunning Black Wizard."

Losa somewhat flippantly extended his finger and lifted Prajna's chin: "Beauty, what should I do with this demon?"

If Jeanne were present, she would certainly realize that Losa was mimicking her carefree manner as if nothing mattered.

Prajna's expression shifted slightly, realizing Losa was concerned about his lack of extraordinary expertise being perceived by the other.

She spoke: "Swear allegiance to my lord, agree to become my lord's Imperial Knight."

Upon hearing this, Elise seemed worried Losa would repent, quickly freed herself from Hanna.

Thud.

Five limbs prostrated on the ground.

"I swear allegiance—how does the oath go again?"

Losa felt a sudden epiphany, this Abyss Lord no matter how strong, could never surpass the system's power?

Prajna made a brilliant suggestion!

He responded briskly: "I swear—before a strong enemy, I fear not."

Elise readily repeated: "I swear..."

The system prompt suddenly sounded.

Warning, you attempt to convert a high-intensity extraordinary entity into your subordinate Imperial Knight.

Since the Imperial Knight Template is incapable of accommodating such an entity's strength, it can only limit its behavior to prevent hostility towards you, unable to harm you, but loyalty can only be marginally increased.

Suggest using blank "Six-Star Attendant Template" to convert into a system attendant.

He wanted to accept the suggestion, but the "blank Six-Star Template" still requires clearing the "Day of Doom in Constantinople" campaign.

Moreover, this blank Six-Star Template, he had in mind for himself.

Losa cursed inwardly.

Yet even this extent is sufficient, Losa felt he could completely bluff this unaware Abyss Lord.

With Elise quickly following the oath, a trace of amazement flashed in her eyes.

"This kind of rule power... no wonder you made such a request."

Elise slightly bowed her head: "I underestimated you, mighty wizard, now can you finally let me go?"
