Chapter 155: What do you say principal?

"How did you get your hands on that? It belongs to the King's special guests," Seraphina asked, a confused look playing on her face.

Dorian quickly turned to check as well, the golden emblem beautiful and shining before him.

The item was called a noble emblem.

People who had this emblem with them were granted the utmost authority.

They were able to get into places normal people would have difficulty entering.

Often, they could buy things for free without having to spend a dime.

The only issue was that only a few people were lucky enough to have received it from the King.

First was the royal messenger, and second was apparently Yelena.

"Did you speak to the King recently?" Dorian asked.

Yelena stared back at him. "No, the principal just gave it to me and told me if I carried this, I would be able to walk freely with no issues. I had no idea what it was. Eh, sounds like it belongs to the King. Does it?"

Dorian smiled, then placed his hand on her head. "Don't worry about it. I'm glad you got into the Royal Academy. I'm proud of you."

Yelena blushed, slightly moving her gaze down since looking directly into his eyes was too much for her heart to bear.

Then a thought popped into her head, causing her to look right back at him.

"Wait, are you leaving already? You only just got here, though," she uttered with concern, sadness already playing in her eyes.

Dorian chuckled a bit. "No, I just need to speak to someone. Maria and Seraphina will accompany you till I return, okay?"

Before she responded, she glared at both girls Dorian had mentioned and then back at him. "This better not be another trick of yours. You promise?"

"Promise."

The very next moment, Dorian was seated in a chair, right in the principal's office.

Opposite him was a woman dressed in a suit with her pink hair packed in a ponytail.

She had another man standing right next to her side; from the way he was dressed, Dorian figured he had to be a head mage or something similar.

It was actually quite easy for him to get the principal's attention.

All he needed to do was harass a few teachers here and there, and before he knew it, he had been called into the office.

Although, that was after he had beaten a few security guards.

Which would explain the tension growing in the office right now.

Picking his nose with his pinky finger, Dorian finally broke the silence.

"So you're the principal. Sheesh, you're a difficult person to get to. I wouldn't have done all that if you had just answered my call in the first place."

The principal closed her eyes in frustration, a shadow covering the upper part of her face as she tried her best to maintain her cool.

All Dorian did was shout for the principal in the center of the hall, and when he got no response, he began harassing the female lecturers, who for some reason fell for him rather easily.

"Lord Dorian Aurelian, I have heard so much about you. Most of all, I am aware you are quite close with Her Majesty and you also have a little sister enrolling in our academy."

"True. Wanna fight about it or what?"

The principal flinched in anger but still maintained her cool. "No, I'm just wondering why someone of your status is present here."

With his finger now in his hair, Dorian replied, "Came here to make sure my sister was attending the best royal academy in Lumberg. From what I am seeing here, I'm not that impressed."

Silence settled for a while, all while the woman constantly kept her widened, veiny eyes on the table.

"I see," she spoke. "S-sorry about that. This academy is still improving."

"Yeah, yeah, sure. Here's the thing: I need my sister to get the best possible education without having any other thing distracting her." Dorian leaned forward.

"What I mean by this is, I don't want her getting discriminated against or oppressed by the other students. Also, I need her to not fall prey to the pretty nobles here."

"I don't fully understand what you want me to do here."

Before the principal could go any further, Dorian hushed her. Now his finger rested on his lips, urging her not to speak.

"Regarding the discrimination, I already have that taken care of. What I need right now is for you, the best teacher here, to give her the best teaching a mage could possibly get."

The principal raised a brow in confusion, wondering why he would want that of all things. Sure, she was the best mage in the academy; only the best of the best are lucky enough to one day find their way to be leaders of the royal academy.

"Lili," Dorian called out.

Lili transformed from a bat into a human, then she walked forward, placing a huge bag of money on the table.

"In there is 6000 gold coins. If you agree to my terms, I promise to keep paying you this very amount monthly."

The principal's eyes widened in shock, the mage beside her having the same expression after seeing the money. Why would anyone throw this much around so casually?

"First, I want you to agree to teach my sister privately. Meaning I need you to take her as your personal student. Secondly, I wish to have access to this school's private library. Don't bother hiding it from me; King Revina already told me about it."

"Her Highness would never tell someone about that! It's top secr-"

The principal raised her hand, stopping him from speaking any further.

"Pardon him. He is only surprised by what you said; so am I. But if you know about the library already, then she must surely have told you about it. Only I, the King, and my personal mage know about it, after all."

Dorian smiled a bit.

"That said, if the King told you about the library, then she must have told you where it was located, also giving you access. Why ask me and even go as far as to pay for it?"

"The payment is only for my sister's private tutor and also for you to keep quiet about me entering the library. I wouldn't want rumors flying all around."

The principal sighed. "Lord Dorian. You're not an easy man to read."
