Countless beings trembled violently from just a glance and dared not approach.
At the Peak of the Divine Mountain, there was a huge palace. Auspicious vapors rose from it, overlooking the wilderness and making all the mountains below seem small. Inside, it was glorious, inlaid with various Divine Stones that emitted a treasured light and a rosy glow, eliminating the need for lamps even at night.
Furthermore, ancient patterns were inscribed on the walls and pillars of the grand hall. They fortified the palace, casting out strand after strand of mysterious divine light.
This was the highest place in the Holy Realm, constructed through the cooperative efforts of generations of Watchers. It possessed mysterious, indescribable effects, capable of suppressing the ominous forces within the darkness, and was seldom used.
Yet tonight, it was bustling with unusual activity.
"Where is Madman Zhang? Why hasn't he appeared yet?" an elder roared, his patience worn thin.
If Wang Xiu were here, he would surely recognize the man as the powerful Saint Manifestation from the Ancient Forest. The elder's strength was immense and his saintly might was boundless.
There were many other elders in the great hall. They appeared ordinary, but their auras were mysteriously immeasurable, as if they were one with the world. All of them were Saint Manifestation ancestors from the Great Immortal Gates.
"I guess he's still busy in bed!" someone suddenly remarked.
Chen Yin frowned, unable to understand. "It's been three days already. Is that matter really so important? Can't he even spare a moment to stop?"
Beside him stood Tao Fan, a Saint Manifestation powerhouse from the Mount Shu Immortal Sect. Clad in white robes, he had a celestial air about him and held a horsetail whisk that was engulfed in holy light. He glanced around at the others. "The Sanqing in the outside world are facing a great disaster. Their urgency is understandable. Let's wait a little longer."
As he spoke, his gaze turned to Chen Yin. "But is what you said accurate?"
Chen Yin spoke with conviction, "I saw it with my own eyes. How could it be false?"
One of them found it hard to believe. "There's someone who can move freely on just the third day?"
Chen Yin said earnestly, "He flew on his sword right in front of me and even gave each of the youngsters from my sect a Spirit Fruit. He's clearly been active in the Ancient Forest for some time... By that logic, three days isn't enough! He must have been able to wander the Ancient Forest freely on his second day!"
"It's true. My junior brother saw him too! That kid was carrying a large amount of heavenly materials and earthly treasures, and he didn't even try to hide them. He gave them away to anyone he met! So courteous..." another elder added.
"Is that so?"
HISS.
"A monster!"
"I thought the Sanqing had declined. How could such a talent of the Dao appear in the outside world?"
"To move freely in the Ancient Forest within two days... This boy... he's extraordinary!"
The Saints were shocked. Ripples of power undulated across their forms, causing the surrounding void to quiver. They had spent thousands of years in the Holy Realm and had witnessed countless prodigious talents, yet not one had ever achieved such a feat.
"Don't jump to conclusions too soon!" a Saint spoke from a corner. His body flashed with the light of his Thunder Technique, his might so stunning it seemed capable of creating heavens and earth. He was the Watcher from the Longhu Cave Heaven, whose Thunder Technique shook the heavens and whose combat prowess was legendary. "Perhaps Madman Zhang used some underhanded method in private. Who's to say!"
The crowd furrowed their brows upon hearing this. The accusation was distasteful, to say the least, but it was certainly a possibility. The Sanqing in the outside world were on the brink of collapse. It stood to reason that the Sanqing Saints would do whatever it took for their descendants to rise—even cheat.
"Old bastard, what nasty things are you saying about me behind my back?"
The void suddenly tore open, and a disheveled elder emerged. His clothes were unkempt, and the Law's Light trembled across his body as if he had just survived a great battle.
"Madman Zhang, you finally showed up?"
Chen Yin looked at Zhang Yunting impatiently. "I thought you were going to be busy for another ten days or half a month!"
Zhang Yunting glanced at him. "If you hadn't hounded me by sending one hundred and eight Communication Tokens, I might have. Now, spit it out. What happened?"
Tao Fan, the Saint from Mount Shu, said with a smile, "A prodigy like a Kylin has emerged from your Sanqing's younger generation. In less than three days, he was able to move about freely in the Holy Realm—sooner than anyone else!"
Zhang Yunting was stunned. His eyes filled with intense, joyous surprise. "Is that true?"
Chen Yin looked at him with a frown. "You didn't know?"
Even if these Saints didn't personally teach the young disciples, they always took the initiative to gather firsthand information. They at least knew which remarkably talented individuals existed in the current generation. Zhang Yunting, however, seemed completely oblivious.
"I had no idea! I've been so busy I haven't had time to check any messages. Oh, right!" Zhang Yunting slapped his forehead as he remembered something. He patted himself down. "Where's my Communication Token? Where did I put it?"
He searched for a long moment but couldn't find it. Finally, he swiped his hand and tore a rift in the void before him. He reached inside, rummaged around for a bit, and at last pulled out a Communication Token.
He activated it and immediately saw the message from Luo Hongyi. It was brief, but it said everything that needed to be said. Not only had a Sacred Body appeared, but there was another disciple who looked ordinary yet was shrouded in mystery. Upon entering the Holy Realm, he incredibly hadn't been crushed by the Spiritual Pressure. It was utterly astonishing! Even the Sacred Body's brilliance couldn't overshadow him.
Tears streamed down Zhang Yunting's face as he laughed, his body trembling. The laws around him fluctuated, causing the void to ripple constantly. "Good! Very good! There's hope for my Sanqing's revival! There is hope!"
Chen Yin asked again, staring into Zhang Yunting's eyes. "You really didn't know?"
Zhang Yunting saw all the Saints staring at him. His eyes darted around for a moment before he guessed their thoughts. His face filled with rage. "You can't possibly think I secretly gave my Sanqing's juniors special treatment, do you? That's absurd!"
When a Saint raged, the very color of heaven and earth changed.
