How I Became Ultra Rich Using a Reconstruction System

Chapter 131: A Date

Since Timothy had spent the day yesterday with his family, today it was time to spend this day with Hana.

He was already dressed when she knocked on his suite door at Marina Bay Sands. White polo, sleeves folded neatly, dark jeans, clean sneakers, rare casual Timothy. When he opened the door, Hana blinked for a moment, surprised.

"You actually look… normal today," she said, smiling.

Timothy raised a brow. "Normal?"

"I mean not 'I just closed a $120 billion semiconductor deal' kind of aura," she said, biting back a laugh.

"Well, today I'm not the CEO," he said, stepping out and locking the door behind him. "Today, I'm just Timothy. And you're not my executive assistant."

"Oh?" Hana tilted her head. "What am I then?"

He met her eyes, steady. "A woman I want to spend the day with."

That shut her up for a second.

She looked away, cheeks warming just a bit. "...you could've just said we're hanging out."

"But that's not what this is," Timothy said simply. "Let's go."

They took the elevator down together, the morning sun already flooding the lobby. Hana was dressed light, pastel blue blouse, pleated skirt, white sneakers, hair tied in a low ponytail. She didn't look like the woman who stayed up all night registering shell companies and drafting acquisition plans. She looked… young. Soft. Exactly her age.

"So," she said as they walked through the lobby, "where are we going?"

Timothy gave a small smirk. "You'll see."

"You're not going to tell me?"

"Nope. Surprise."

Hana narrowed her eyes, suspicious. "You're not dragging me into another investors' brunch, are you?"

He chuckled. "Relax. This is purely for fun."

The black Toyota Alphard van was already waiting out front. The driver opened the door, and Timothy gestured for her to step in first.

As they drove through the clean, orderly streets of Singapore, Hana glanced at him curiously. "You're being unusually secretive today."

"That's because it's a proper break," he said. "You earned it."

"Don't tell me you booked a boardroom again," she said dryly.

"Close," he said, amused. "But this one has roller coasters."

Her eyes widened. "Wait… what?"

"Universal Studios."

She blinked, stunned for a second. "You're joking."

"I'm not."

"You? Mr. Workaholic himself? Going to a theme park?"

Timothy leaned back, watching the streets pass by. "Even I know how to have fun sometimes."

Hana laughed in disbelief. "Right. Until your phone rings."

"Already muted it," he said. "You have my full attention."

That silenced her for a moment. She glanced out the window, a faint smile tugging at her lips.

When they arrived at Sentosa Island, the huge rotating globe of Universal Studios Singapore greeted them, shining in the morning light. Families were streaming in, kids holding popcorn and waving souvenirs. Hana stopped to stare.

"You weren't kidding."

"Do I ever?" Timothy asked.

"Sometimes I wish you did," she muttered, grinning.

They walked through the entrance, scanning the tickets. Hana's eyes darted from one colorful street to another, the storefronts modeled after old Hollywood, the palm-lined walkway leading deeper into the park. The scent of popcorn and roasted nuts drifted through the air, and distant screams echoed from the roller coasters.

"This feels… surreal," she said, her voice softening. "When was the last time you went to a place like this?"

"Never," Timothy admitted.

Hana turned to him, surprised. "Seriously?"

He nodded. "We couldn't afford it when I was younger. And afterward… I never really had the time."

Her smile faded slightly. "Then I'm honored to be your first theme park companion."

He smirked. "Make sure it's worth it then."

She laughed, shaking her head. "Deal."

They started in the Ancient Egypt zone. The heat shimmered against the massive sandstone walls and hieroglyphs. Timothy was convinced by Hana, somehow, to ride Revenge of the Mummy.

Inside the dark, echoing hall, Hana clutched her seatbelt nervously. "I swear, if this thing flips upside down, I'm suing TG Mobility."

Timothy chuckled. "Noted. I'll have Legal prepare your settlement."

The ride shot forward, plunging into pitch-black tunnels. Hana screamed as the cart twisted through fire and shadows, grabbing his arm in reflex. Timothy didn't flinch, but he did smile faintly.

When they came out, her hair was a little messy, and she was half-laughing, half-gasping for air. "That was terrifying!"

"You screamed in my ear," Timothy said.

"You didn't even react!" she said accusingly. "Are you even human?"

"I was enjoying the data," he said dryly. "Pure market research."

She swatted his arm. "You're impossible."

They spent the afternoon wandering through the themed zones, Jurassic Park, Far Far Away, Sci-Fi City. Hana dragged him into Transformers: The Ride, where she ended up laughing uncontrollably when he actually ducked during one of the 3D explosions.

"Mr. CEO, flinching at a hologram," she teased as they walked out. "Should I start taking notes?"

"I was analyzing trajectory realism," he said calmly.

"Sure," she said with a grin. "You were terrified."

They grabbed lunch at Mel's Drive-In, a 1950s-style diner replica. Sitting in a red leather booth with burgers and milkshakes, Hana looked across the table at him, still smiling. "You know… this doesn't suit you."

"What doesn't?"

"This," she said, gesturing around. "Being relaxed."

He looked down at his drink. "Maybe that's why I need it."

Her expression softened. "Fair point."

They ate quietly for a few minutes, the distant music filling the air.

Then Hana asked, almost shyly, "So… do you ever regret it? The path you took?"

Timothy leaned back, thoughtful. "No. But sometimes, I wonder what it would've been like to just live normally. No companies, no contracts — just… peace."

"Would you actually be happy with that?" she asked.

He smiled faintly. "No. Probably not."

"Exactly," she said. "You're built for this, Timothy. I can tell in the future, you'll become even bigger than what you currently are."

He looked at her, genuinely taken aback for a moment. "That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me."

"I can take it back," she said quickly.

"Too late," he said, smiling.

As the day stretched into evening, they ended up near the lagoon where the sunset painted the park in gold. The lights of the rides began to flicker on, soft music drifting through the air.

Hana leaned on the railing, watching the reflection of the castle shimmer on the water. "You know… I'm really glad you brought me here."

He turned to her. "You deserved a break."

She smiled faintly. "And you? You finally look at peace."

"Yeah…because tomorrow, we will return to Manila and then return to work, preparing for the IPO of TG Motors, and also the Nuscale."

"We will handle it sir…I mean Timothy."

Timothy smiled.
