Global Gods : Skill-Resonance Awakened

Chapter 200: Ch 200 : God's Domain! Infinite Demigod Generator?

"Hunt?" Sunny's voice was a vibration that seemed to press down on the very air of the arena. He knew exactly what Nova meant by "hunt," and the same cold, predatory itch was already spreading through his own consciousness.

The Realm of Advancement, the entire realm was bound to the will of his creation, Nexus. He would not suffer the lapdogs of the Demon Lords to roam freely in his new backyard.

"Wait for the tournament to end," Sunny commanded. His voice was calm again, but it was the stillness of a predator that has already marked its prey. "When this is over, there will be a… fun activity… for all of our demigods."

Nova nodded and dissolved into a shimmer of spatial energy and was gone. Her body was already teleported to Veridia, waiting for her master's call.

The tournament raged on, but for Sunny, it had lost its luster. The subsequent battles were a pale compared to clash between his two DemiGods.

He watched as his remaining demigods effortlessly dismantled their opponents. It was efficient, yes, but it was boring.

Feeling the familiar weight of boredom, Sunny turned his attention inward.

During Thalorax's epiphany, he had used his [Skill-Resonance] talent, copying the essence of that breakthrough. It was time to inspect his new prize.

He used his God's Eye on himself. His consciousness plunged deep into the swirling, cosmic sea of his own soul. It was a universe unto itself, a galaxy of power.

There, among the familiar, brilliant crystals representing his other talents [Skill-Resonance], [Divine Growth], [Cloning], and the others, floated a new, unfamiliar orb.

It was a crystal of authority. It pulsed with a slow, powerful beat, a rhythm that Sunny instinctively recognized as the very heartbeat of his entire territory.

Holding his focus on it gave him the feeling that he could, with a mere thought, rewrite the fundamental laws of his multiverse… if only he were willing to pay the price.

He focused his God's Eye, and the details of the new, evolved talent flooded his mind.

[Talent Name: God's Domain]

[Grade: SS]

[Description: Creates a personal, conceptual domain that encompasses your entire territory.

Within this domain, your will is law. You can alter reality, manipulate causality, and gain a form of localized omniscience, allowing you to focus on any point within your territory at will.

By drawing upon a lifeform's own potential and a specific Law, you can directly elevate them to the demigod realm. This new demigod will be born with an innate understanding of their chosen Law.]

[Note 1: This talent drains a large amount of Faith to activate and maintain.]

[Note 2: Demigods created, will have their potential permanently capped. They will not gain new talents through breakthroughs and can never ascend to true Godhood in their life.]

Sunny stared at the description, "I can… create demigods on a whim?" he whispered, the words lost in the vastness of his own soul-space.

The implications were staggering. He would need to check the exact "price" later, but the sheer, game-changing power of this ability was revolutionary.

Without hesitation, he activated the domain.

The cost was staggering: and from the disappearing faith, he knew the cost was around 1 trillion per day.

It was a sum that would have permanently bankrupted every other God in the Pantheon combined, an expenditure so vast it was comical.

But for Sunny, whose Cosmic Shop and system fees were now generating trillions every hour, it was… acceptable.

The moment the talent activated, his consciousness detonated.

It merged with the very fabric of his territory. He was Veridia. He was the small universe. He was the entire Realm of Advancement.

It was an omniscience so profound, so absolute, it was almost suffocating. He wasn't just watching his territory; he was his territory.

He could feel a single leaf detaching from a branch in a forest on Veridia, spiraling lazily to the ground.

He could feel every grain of sand in the colossal arena, every whispered prayer, every spike of fear, every secret hope from trillions of beings at once.

The data was an avalanche that would have annihilated any mind.

He found, however, that his awareness could only focus on one place at a time, much like his God's Eye.

The rest was like an alarm system, that only came into his view during an anomaly.

He felt the sudden urge to test its limits; to turn a mountain into vapor, to stop the rain in one hemisphere, just to see reality bend to his whim.

But he stopped himself. The tournament was still in progress. Such a display was unnecessary.

He brought his focus back, his new, domain-infused consciousness settling on the arena. As a new match had begun.

He saw Nexus, standing opposite an another demigod.

The opponent was a brute-force demigod, a monstrous orc that stood at least double the height of the general orcs, its skin a sickly green, its tusks the size of longswords. It was wreathed in an aura of primal rage.

"A demigod of rage or slaughter, likely from a God who cultivates orc-kind," Sunny mused. "No sane person would choose such an demigod otherwise."

The orc demigod roared, a sound that shook the stands, and charged.

The battle ended as soon as it started.

Nexus didn't move. He didn't raise a hand(not that it have hands in the first place). He didn't even look at the orc.

The charging orc, in mid-stride, simply… ceased to be. There was no explosion, no flash of light, no teleportation shimmer.

One frame, he was there, a mountain of charging fury. The next, he was gone. Kicked.

The entire arena, and all the watching lifeforms, fell into a stunned silence.

The live chat, moments ago scrolling with predictions, froze. Then, it exploded.

Lifeform2783: "...he did it again. Just like in the crucible"

Lifeform27838: "What do you expect? If he can erase a million demigods at once, erasing one is just breathing for him"

Lifeform9499: "GUYS! HOLY-! The demigod that just lost is from our world! He was just teleported back to our world! He's in shock! He said... he said he didn't just lose. He said the arena rejected him. He said it felt like the entire world just kicked him out!"

This statement stunned the other lifeforms. The smarter ones, the ones who had been paying attention, began to connect the dots.

Nexus wasn't just in the arena. He was, in some fundamental way, connected to it. It was his arena.

Sunny smiled. They were close, but still wrong. Nexus's territory wasn't just the arena. Nexus was the Realm of Advancement.

The orc hadn't been defeated by a combatant; he had been deleted by the administrator.

Adam quickly arrived, announced the winner, and started the next match.

The battles continued, a blur of power. Some lasted mere minutes, a flurry of Laws and clashing energy. Others dragged on for hours, wars of attrition.

Then came the turn of another of Sunny's demigod: the Demigod of Peace.

His opponent was a magnificent, terrifying creature: a giant serpentine demigod, its scales the color of oxidized copper, its body so vast it could have coiled around an entire moon.

Even so, in the truly limitless expanse of the arena, it looked almost small.

"Hssss~" the serpent demigod hissed, its voice like grinding stones. It eyed the 'opponent' before it. "You don't look that powerful. Why don't you just surrender, little treasure?"

The serpent's confusion was understandable. All of Sunny's "utility" demigods lacked a proper, fixed form. Their appearance was subjective, shifting to match the perception of the one watching.

For this serpentine demigod, a creature of instinct, "peace" was not an abstract concept. Peace was hoarding.

It was the feeling of coiling atop a mountain of precious, stolen things, safe and secure in its lair.

Thus, to its eyes, the Demigod of Peace appeared as a swirling, ethereal mass of priceless gems and radiant gold. Not a threat, just a treasure.

For Sunny, "peace" was the memory of a clear night sky, filled with stars he had only seen as a child. It was the sight of gentle clouds and the sound of soft rain.

Across the multiverse, all of the beings all saw something different.

A warrior saw a sheathed sword. A farmer saw a field of ripe grain. A mother saw her sleeping child. The Demigod of Peace was a billion different forms at once, all of them comforting.

"I represent peace," the demigod's voice emerged, not as a sound, but as a universal thought, calm and serene. "Why would I need to be powerful?"

These words, spoken with absolute conviction, unraveled a string in the minds of the audience.

The collective tension, the bloodlust, the anticipation for a brutal fight that had gripped a trillion minds; it all just… dissolved. The very concept of conflict felt distant, absurd, and tiring.

In the arena, the great serpentine demigod, which had been tensed to strike, suddenly felt an overwhelming weariness.

Its ferocious hiss softened into a rumbling, contented sigh. The desire to fight, to win, evaporated, replaced by a much more profound, instinctual need.

It curled its massive body into a cozy position, laid its great head down and in front of a universal audience, fell peacefully asleep.

Adam, the host, shook his head, a complex look on his face.

"For... for sleeping in mid-fight and letting go of his guard, the serpentine demigod is eliminated."

His voice, sharp and clear, penetrated the minds of all the lifeforms, gently shaking them from their blissful daze.

The live chat slowly restarted, but the tone was completely different.

Lifeform26849: "…what was that? What was that feeling? I... I want to go home. I haven't seen my mother in ten years. I want to ask her to sing me that lullaby again."

Lifeform26738: "I'm logging off. I want to go to the riverside and fish. I'll watch the rest of the tournament from there. It seems important, suddenly"

Lifeform263890: "I'm going to go ride my horse. Just… ride. No destination."

One by one, the lifeforms began to speak of their inner peace, of the simple, forgotten joys they suddenly wanted to reclaim.

The sleeping serpent was teleported back to its world, likely to awaken in its own lair, confused.

The Demigod of Peace was teleported back to Sunny's stand.

Sunny looked at his creation; this swirling nebula of stars and clouds, and gave a slight, genuine smile.

A demigod's power normally couldn't affect a true God. But Sunny hadn't resisted. He had let the power wash over him.

And through it, for a fleeting moment, the God of a billions of worlds, the master of a new universe, the man burdened by constant grinding and preparation of war… felt peace.

He saw the night sky of his childhood, a sky long since choked by the pollution in his previous world.

He saw the soft, gray clouds of a gentle rain, a moment of stillness he had forgotten he ever knew. It was a profound, aching relief.

The appreciation from its creator was felt. On the ethereal, ever-changing form of the Demigod of Peace, a smile manifested, a simple, shared understanding.

It awaited its next battle, and show the world what peace is.
