Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4691: A Huge Marvel

In the Mountain-Sea Painting Shard Region, the elemental energies belonging to Wood, Earth, and Water were rich. The terrain made from the amalgamation, culmination, and fusion of these energies bore different kinds of beautiful and dangerous environments.

Verdant jungles sprawled endlessly, their colossal trees rich in wood and water energy, intertwined with jade crystalline streams with flowing vitality. Each root glowed faintly with a soft luminescence, absorbing the heaven and earth energy that constantly circulated throughout the soil.

In some places, giant vines as thick as towers hung from floating mountains, connecting the landmasses like they were nature's own bridge-form.

If it weren't for the limitation placed on this world by the dimension, plant lifeforms would be teeming with life here.

Beneath the canopy, misty lakes shimmered with deep azure hues. The waters were so clear that one could see the faint silhouettes of water spirits swimming lazily below. At times, the surface of these ocean bodies would flicker with energy fluctuations, forming powerful and beneficial resources.

In the mountains, the earth itself seemed to come alive, breathing, shifting, and resonating with the ores held within. They pulsed with an ancient hymn, giving off vibrancy. Occasionally, the mix and match of the energies would suddenly sprout a geyser from nowhere, and trees might rise from the deep earth.

The beauty of these landscapes couldn't be described, making Davis and the others sigh numerous times.

Yet, this beauty was also accompanied by danger.

There was a higher amount of Calamities and spirits, hiding within the foils or shadows of trees and mountains. The rivers, although tranquil in appearance, might also twist into sudden whirlpools, and beneath them might be a water-attributed Realm Calamity.

Hours later, nearly eighty million kilometers away from the place Bylai was mining with her group, the landscape drastically transformed.

The deep emerald hues and other hues of the forests and jungles gave way to a boundless expanse of shimmering blue. From above in the flying boat, the sea looked like an ocean of mirrored glass, its surface rippling with glints of gentle cyan and jade filled with wood-attributed plants below.

Countless islands dotted its vastness, each brimming with its own unique ecosystem. Some were blanketed by lush vegetation, some others covered in mineral-rich cliffs that sparkled faintly under the azure skies.

Davis could see cultivators hanging out like they were ants crawling across branches and mounds. Some were looking for resources, and others were mining.

Massive whirlpools occasionally appeared in the distance before subsiding, releasing streams of water-attributed heaven and earth energy that formed ethereal rainbows arching over. There were cultivators here too, gathering towards the geyser of heaven and earth energy.

Davis didn't bother about them.

His focus was on the distance, his heart stricken with a deep sense of affection for the landscape. Just laying his eyes on this giant structure gave him a sense of inner peace that he couldn't help but unwittingly smile innocently.

Myria was the same. She couldn't help but utter, "What a marvelous plant lifeform…"

At the very center of this grand sea, there was a colossal bloom of a lotus. It appeared like a divine marvel that spanned nearly three million kilometers. Each petal of the lotus unfolded like a floating continent, shaped by soft pink hues that shimmered with the essence of life and purity.

There were thousands of wood and water spirits living there.

The petals curved upward slightly, forming a natural cradle that protected the sacred heart of the flower. From afar, these petals looked like enormous peninsulas or islands gently drifting atop the azure sea, yet they were all part of one whole.

Streams of light cascaded down the edges of each petal, merging into waterfalls of pure vitality that nourished the surrounding waters. A faint fragrance, elegant and transcendent, wafted across millions of kilometers, calming even the most restless of souls.

It had become a part of the environment, a natural formation that allowed thousands of life to live in harmony.

Davis made the flying boat fly ahead.

As they neared the center of this tremendously colossal cherry lotus, Davis finally spotted his Aila.

She was entrenched at the heart of the lotus in a cross-legged position, her long pink hair flowing behind her, blending seamlessly with the luminescent brilliance of the lotus. Layers of light spiraled around her body as though it were the resonance from the lotus's core.

"Aila's been like this for one whole year," Bylai smiled fondly as she surveyed the scenery and gazed at Aila, "She's been binding her soul to this colossal cherry lotus ever since we found it. She recognized that her unique physique resonated with it and has been trying to bind it ever since then, but it's a Peak-Level Empyrean Grade resource. Instead of harvesting it, she's trying to bind by forming a connection with its instincts, but is met with failure every time."

She wryly smiled, "It's a pity that this grand lifeform doesn't have a spirit because of the suppression from the dimension. Otherwise, it would be easier for Aila to make a connection with it since the plant spirit would also feel a likeness to Aila."

Davis and Myria couldn't help but nod.

Inexplicably, they thought about the Guardian Lotus of the Jade Lotus Valley, the Jade Pearl Ravenous Lotus that Ivy Aries bound with her soul. At that point, the Jade Pearl Ravenous Lotus was merely two hundred kilometers long, but this beautiful cherry lotus was three million kilometers long. It was ridiculous.

Nonetheless, that wasn't the point they were thinking about.

They guessed just like Ivy Aries, bound with the Jade Pearl Ravenous Lotus, a plant lifeform with a spirit, Aila was trying to do the same with this colossal cherry lotus. Only, it didn't have a spirit, and so, forming a connection with it became nearly impossible unless Aila could reach its power level.

Evidently, this was a feat comparable to him trying to tame a living Eternal Eclipse Bird that didn't have a spirit. Of course, the difficulty of his achievement was higher, but considering Aila's lower prowess, the individual difficulty of the task matched.

Even if she wanted to take advantage of her unique physique, it was bound to be extremely difficult, making him speechless.

"Why not try to bind it after harvesting it and making it back home?" Davis blinked.

Bylai shook her head, "It's impossible. Not only is its prowess higher than the layer limit of the Lower Realms, it is freaking huge. Of course, most of its body is overgrown and could be left here, but Aila doesn't want to harvest the core since it would cause the fall of this beautiful landscape. Thousands of spirits live here harmoniously, forsaking battles and enmity with the calming aura of the cherry lotus. She doesn't want to disturb it, hence she plans to first build a solid connection, then retrieve the core without damaging the landscape."

"I can understand that." Davis chuckled with a smile, "I wouldn't want to disturb this place either."

He continued, "Perhaps I should help her by imbuing chaos energy into her and temporarily raising her energy capacity. The chaos energy can replace nearly every type of energy, so it wouldn't interfere with her connection process as long as she refines the energy I send with her Mutated Silken Cherry Physique."

"Mhm, you could ask when she wakes up next time."

"Alright." Davis nodded, thinking of leaving a message here so she knows that he was here to help.

Suddenly, Bylai looked like she recalled something while looking at the colossal cherry lotus.

"Oh, we also saw Jade Aurora and Ivy Aries a few years back."

"Oh? When was it?" Davis gleamed with interest. If Tia had been here, he was sure she would be jumping up and down with joy.
