One Piece: So What If I Sin, Lie, and Lust? I'm Still a Good Marine

Chapter 359: You Forced Me to Do This!

A massive hollow had opened up over the ravine, and the supplies that were there just moments ago had vanished into thin air, sending a chill down everyone's spine.

It was as if the earth had been torn apart by some god from beyond the heavens—a terrifying sight to behold.

And it was just one punch...

That was power pushed to the absolute limit!

Dragon's eye twitched involuntarily, his throat tightening as he swallowed.

Right now, Daren still looked like the same old Daren in his eyes—the lunatic who kept laughing even while covered in wounds.

But through his Observation Haki, the aura Daren was giving off was downright monstrous—completely beyond what Dragon believed any human could emit.

In fact, if one were to judge by life force alone, he had already surpassed monsters like Kaidou and Big Mom.

If Dragon shut his eyes and relied only on his Observation Haki, he would've thought some primeval, savage beast had descended upon the world!

"This is insane..."

The thought flashed through Dragon's mind. When he turned to look at the two remaining CP0 members, his face was already cold and full of killing intent.

"Can't just let him hog the spotlight..."

The dark green storm on the ground intensified and surged toward the sky.

...

"...That kind of strength is just impossible..."

With a deafening rumble, the mountain shook as rocks exploded in all directions under the shockwave.

The silver-white werewolf clawed his way out from a massive crater in the cliff face, his breath steaming in the cold air. Blood dripped from his mouth.

Michael had long since lost the refined composure he showed at the start. Now he stood hunched over, a shadow of his former self.

His once moonlike silver fur was now caked in blood and grime. His arms and abdomen were torn open, skin and muscle tangled with tufts of fur, blood flowing freely.

He stared at Daren in the distance, blood-red eyes wide with disbelief.

A mere human... could actually wield this kind of power!?

And he wasn't even a Zoan!

A strong sense of unreality gripped Michael's mind. The raw might Daren had displayed had completely shattered any expectations or understanding he had.

"How could an illiterate savage like you possibly grasp the brilliance of a magnetic field manipulator?"

Daren gasped for breath, then broke into a wide grin.

His body, crackling with bluish-purple lightning, began to glow red. Tiny beads of blood seeped from his pores, evaporating in the heat generated by the current coursing through him.

His cells were working so hard that his blood was literally burning away!

And yet, the crazed grin on Daren's face never faded. He had no intention of stopping the Magnetic Field Rotation. On the contrary—he was drunk on the ecstasy of growing stronger!

It hurt like hell, but he was loving every second of it!

Michael froze. He didn't fully understand what "illiterate savage" meant, but the contempt and mockery in the black-haired youth's tone was clear as day.

In an instant, a wave of indescribable rage burst from his chest.

"You think you've already won? You worm!!"

Michael laughed maniacally, the black flames around him flaring up again. His near-immortal ability kicked into gear, rapidly repairing his mangled body.

"How long can you keep this up—overloading your body like that!?"

"Ten seconds? Thirty? A minute?"

"Sure, you've pushed past the limits of a living being... but I've also broken through the limits of recovery!"

"I don't even need to kill you. In the state you're in, it won't be long before your organs, blood vessels, and even your cells collapse under the overstimulation of that magnetic field!"

"In the end, the one left standing will still be—"

The words choked in his throat.

His pupils shrank to pinpricks.

Daren's figure—two kilometers away—had vanished in an instant!

A gust of wind suddenly whipped up behind him. His blood-soaked silver fur flew wildly, and his ghostly vertical pupils darted around in all directions. The demonic red light flashing in his eyes made it clear—he had pushed his Observation Haki, which he had honed to the level of "foreseeing the future," to its absolute peak!

Suddenly—

"Who said getting stronger only meant power?"

A hoarse, mocking laugh rang out from the left.

Michael's expression changed drastically as he twisted to the side. Crimson light flared in his vertical pupils, and the silver wolf's claws slashed fiercely through the air—aiming toward his right!

But they only tore through a streak of crackling lightning.

In that instant, the ground where Daren had just been standing suddenly collapsed, and dozens of muddy geysers shot skyward!

That speed!

Michael's heart shook violently.

The speed Daren was showing now was on par with, if not faster than, his own maximum output in his werewolf form bolstered by the power of the shadows!

That burst... had already surpassed the realm of "Raimei"!

Impossible!

But Michael had no time to dwell on it. He frantically pushed his Observation Haki to the limit, constantly "foreseeing" flashes of the immediate future, slashing again and again with his frost-covered claws at the phantom darting through the air!

Shff! Shff! Shff!

The silver claws ripped through the earth, howling through the wind—but every time, they only shredded afterimages of crackling electricity.

Not once did he manage to hit Daren's actual body!

Too fast!

Even though he could "foresee" the near future with Observation Haki and track Daren's movement, he still couldn't land a blow.

He was a beat too slow—just enough for Daren to slip away.

That feeling—of having his target right in front of him, yet only managing to graze the edge of his opponent's clothing—was enough to make Michael cough up blood in frustration!

Every time he struck, Daren had already flashed ten meters away.

The result was a bizarre and almost comical scene that unfolded before Dragon and the two CP0 agents locked in their own fierce battle.

All they saw was that Daren had completely vanished from view.

Meanwhile, the "strongest Celestial Dragon," the Commander of the God's Knights, was spinning around yelling and flailing at empty air—looking like a lunatic waging war against ghosts.

"Damn insect!"

Michael roared in fury. As impatience and frustration began to cloud his mind, a silhouette wrapped in lightning and blazing like fire suddenly appeared in the reflection of his eyes.

"I wanted to be a gentleman at first..."

Boom!

A devastating whip kick slammed into Michael's face like thunder, tearing half of it into a bloody mess, bone and flesh flying apart!

He staggered backward, gritting his teeth against the searing pain. Then, planting his feet firmly, he lunged with a clawed strike.

"It's bastards like you—who just refuse to die—that pushed me this far!"

Daren roared in fury, his twisted right arm wrapped in hurricane-like lightning, and drove his fist forward!

Crack!

Michael's extended claw, his forearm, skin, flesh, bones—his entire shoulder—was obliterated into a mist of blood!
