Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 429: Ultimate Chonk?

Chapter 429: Ultimate Chonk?

Rael smiled and accepted her offer right away.

After all, how else would he calm his mind after what just happened?

Yet, seeing her now reminded him of the last time he saw her. She was beautiful back then, but now even more so.

I really need to wrap things up here fast so I can go see her again, Rael thought with a sigh as he took Melina’s hand and stood up.

“Great, no more sulking until we’re done with the dungeon,” Melina said sternly.

“Yeah, yeah…” Rael replied and stepped forward, reaching the giant scarlet gate that would lead them to the next section.

He put his hand on the gate, and less than a second later, the gate opened.

An extremely strong gust of wind hit him, pushing him back slightly.

But right as he was about to bump into Melina, he caught himself and raised a brow.

“This looks new?”

“Mhm.” Melina nodded. “I definitely feel someone strong in front of us. Or rather, two somebodies. They might be the elite monsters.”

She clicked her tongue. “It’s about damn time we met some stronger monsters. I haven’t leveled up in ages.”

Rael rolled his eyes and then approached the gate once again. This time, he fully opened it, revealing the familiar royal cultist decor.

Paintings were everywhere, just this time, the scarlet-armored man was no longer in them. The only thing remaining in those paintings was a single bright sun, and that was the same for every painting in this room.

Rael’s gaze traveled toward the two scarlet-armored figures in the center.

One of those figures was a black-haired woman, holding a golden staff in her hand.

As for the figure beside her, it was a man holding a pitch-black katana, and from his stance alone, Rael knew that one wrong step and he would be chopped into pieces.

Coincidentally, the light from the paintings was shining down upon the two, and if Rael had to guess, they were being empowered.

Just kidding… One inspect tells me they’re a bit chonky.

—Kaylin, The Scarlet Saintess [Grade 3 Noble Class | Level 1000] – Vitality: Tier 12 [100% / 100% HP]

—Claudius, The Scarlet Champion [Grade 4 Noble Class | Level 1000] – Vitality: Tier 13 [100% / 100% HP]

Claudius was definitely out of Rael’s range, since at least for the time being, he had no way of dealing a sextillion HP worth of damage.

But while he was fighting alongside Melina, he remembered one application of his mana manipulation.

<Ding!>

<96,000% Willpower as Draconic Mental Damage per hit. Acts as a base damage increase.>

Rael stared at the last pop-up in anticipation, as he hadn’t seen something like this before.

And after just a few moments, the calculation finally finished.

<Ding!>

Rael raised a brow at the last part.

I know Plasma and Destruction are overpowered, but why exactly aren’t they being listed…?

And almost like a parrot, the system answered him.

“…”

Care to elaborate?

Rael wasn’t stupid, but he definitely didn’t understand a single word the system had just said.

<…>

After Rael finished reading those pop-ups, he felt as if it all began making sense now.

The damage and the laws were too good to be true, and he knew there was some sort of bullshit reason why they were being held back.

Even so, the effects of the laws were still present, but their damage was just calculated differently.

I’m sure when I get stronger, these limits will just disappear, because a 25x damage multiplier seems like a pretty shitty alternative.

But alas, he was only a Grade 1, and there were many other grades above him, so there was a lot of time for him to grow.

And grow he will.

“How do you want to go about this?” Melina spoke up. “Should I take the knight, and you take the healer? I’m sure you can deal with her fairly easily.”

“Hmm… Yeah, we’ll do that, but give me a moment,” Rael replied, making sure not to accidentally pull the aggro of the two monsters in front of him.

Staring at the two monsters, he was reminded of what he had encountered in the Memory Record.

An undead duo. If one dies and the other is still alive, then the one that has died will revive… Rael grumbled. If these two have a similar mechanic, then it might be a bit troublesome.

So with that in mind, Rael quickly gave Melina the rundown of what their possible patterns were going to be, and after he was done, she simply nodded at him.

“I see… I can hold the knight down while you deal with the healer,” Melina said. “If you need any help, just shout. I’ll be right beside you, ready to steal all your experience.”

Just then, Rael was reminded that the person beside him was technically a pirate.

Despite that, he cracked his knuckles, and without wasting a moment, he decided to be the first one to attack.
