Infinite Awakening: My Exp Doubles Everyday

Chapter 383: Peak Void Traversing Realm

Chapter 383: Peak Void Traversing Realm

“Are you sure about this?” Xiang Yu asked.

“Yes, we are,” Feng Wuying responded. “Even after receiving the resources from little Yu, I still lack enough talent to enter the golden core realm.” He sighed deeply. “And I’m already at the end of my lifespan…”

Xiang Yu retrieved something from his sleeve and stretched his hand out, offering it to Feng Wuying. It was a life extension pill, there were many herbs related to life extension and Xiang Yu had used them to make lots of life extension pills for the disciples.

Though they couldn’t be taken limitlessly as they lost their effects over continuous use, he didn’t think the fifty years of lifespan this particular pill granted wouldn’t be enough for Feng Wuying to challenge the golden core realm for more lifespan.

But after that, it would probably be over for him.

Feng Wuying smiled. He folded Xiang Yu’s open palm, closing the pill inside and pushing the hand back toward him. “I know little Xiang Yu can do many things now. I already knew you wouldn’t lack such a pill for extending lifespan…”

He gazed up at the sky with longing. “But this old man is already tired. Won’t you let this old man and his brothers rest?”

Xiang Yu sighed. Indeed, not everyone was like him. Some didn’t want to live for billions of years. He looked to the side at Guo Zhengming, who seemed to share the same feelings as Feng Wuying.

“Well, since you both think like this, there’s nothing I can do about it,” Xiang Yu said.

Then, addressing Guo Zhengming, he asked, “Don’t you want to see master?”

“No, there’s no need for me to see him. I chose this path and I must live with it. Trying to enter his life now after all this time would be disingenuous,” he said. Then with a smile, “I think he’s already doing quite well with a disciple such as you. I asked my brothers to take care of him for me before, and now…” He bowed deeply. “Please take care of him.”

“Of course. It’s only natural that I take care of my master,” he said as he helped him up.

“Thank you,” both of them said with a slight bow before flying away.

Xiang Yu watched them leave, thinking to himself that they didn’t have much time left to live and chose to die on their own terms as brothers. Even after so long, their relationship was still like this. He wondered if Grandmaster Wei Long would think the same if he was alive.

He scratched his head. What was the use in thinking about it? He was just a young guy. How could he understand the thoughts of these guys ten times his age even when accounting for his two lives.

“Master, what do you think?” Xiang Yu asked.

Elder Guo appeared beside him. “Nothing. It’s like he said – he chose his own path, so did martial uncle.”

Xiang Yu looked at him. Although he didn’t show it, Xiang Yu could sense a little sadness through his fate domain. He wondered if it was because his father didn’t come to greet him, or because his martial uncle had left.

He retrieved something from his sleeve and placed it in his master’s palm.

“This is dragon bloodline essence. If you use this, you won’t lose out much to martial aunt.” Then he added, “And with the dragon’s energy, you won’t even need these pills anymore,” as he took some strange pills from his master’s pocket without him noticing.

“You brat…” Elder Guo began with an angry expression. “You don’t even dare to say that I’ll win. Do you look down on your master that much?” he shouted as he charged at him, but Xiang Yu disappeared into space.

“Hmph, what a disrespectful kid. What stupid master taught you?” he began before realizing what he had said. “Ah…” He sighed.

He held the essence in his hand as he stared in the direction his martial uncle and real father had gone, his thoughts unknown.

Lightning crashed down again and again, each bolt striking Li Yao’s body with tremendous force. The lightning energy surged through her meridians, refining her muscles, bones, and organs.

Her flesh glowed with a faint blue light as the lightning energy spread through every cell.

She gritted her teeth, guiding the chaotic lightning along the pathways the Empress had taught her. Pain shot through her body, but she endured it all. This was the price of being so talented. Due to her insane foundation, the lightning was not measured by number of consecutive lightning bolts but just poured onto her endlessly.

And unlike others who use any means necessary to defend from the lightning, she had to painfully absorb it into her body to nourish her dao body.

Hours passed. The lightning continued its relentless assault, but something felt different now. After enduring the attacks for so long, she had finally managed to advance her Nine Heavens Thunder Body, unlocking the fourth heaven.

Then, before she could even celebrate this advancement, she felt something snap inside her.

Li Yao gasped as she felt her soul shift. The sensation was unlike anything she had experienced before – a strange feeling that she didn’t quite understand.

She wondered if this was what it meant by “soul returning to the anterior heaven.” She didn’t understand it completely, but the change was undeniable.

Next came a transformation in her body. This felt similar to breaking through in body cultivation, but different somehow. She raised her hand experimentally and waved it through the air. To her amazement, space tore open effortlessly.

But this wasn’t like before. She hadn’t forced it through brute strength. Instead, space itself seemed to allow her passage, as if recognizing her authority.

She had finally entered the Void Traversing Realm.

[Don’t get carried away,] the Empress warned sharply.

Li Yao looked up toward the darkening sky. The lightning clouds were gathering even more intensely than before, swirling with energy. Her Heavenly Dao Body and Nine Heavens Thunder Body were entering a critical stage.

“Come at me!” she called out smugly to the heavens above as her cultivation began rising rapidly.

First layer of Void Traversing Realm… third layer… fifth… ninth… then peak.

She felt the incredible power surging through her body and grinned wildly.

“Let’s challenge Integration!” she declared boldly, glaring defiantly at the storm clouds gathering overhead.

The heavens seemed to accept her provocation. In response to her challenge, countless lightning bolts descended from the sky, all aimed directly at her position.

Author’s Corner

Wei Long is elder guo’s master, hence why Xiang Yu calls him grandmaster. He is also the previous sect master before his son Wei Tianxu who was succeeded by Li Yao.
