Infinite Awakening: My Exp Doubles Everyday

Chapter 361: Heavenly-Grade Spirit Root

Chapter 361: Heavenly-Grade Spirit Root

Xiang Yu felt the qi in his dantian boil and bubble over, creating pressure like never before.

Then, when the process reached a critical point, it popped, dispersing all the qi that had been gathered within his dantian. Just like Li Yao, his spiritual root turned into a black hole and started sucking in all the qi around him, though at a much smaller scale compared to Li Yao.

Although his spiritual root was hungry, it was nothing compared to the qi being produced by the now immortal grade spirit vein.

Although the spirit vein had upgraded and now produced immortal qi, it still produced normal qi as well. Otherwise, Xiang Yu might have had some trouble since his spiritual root wasn’t capable of refining immortal qi like Li Yao.

His spiritual root continued sucking in energy for over half an hour before it stopped. Xiang Yu exhaled to disperse the remaining energy before checking his status screen.

[Core Formation: 10th Layer (50,000/1,000,000)]

In that one moment, he had broken through five minor realms. He was finally at the level of geniuses. He thought to himself that although the divine level spiritual root was quite powerful, this was something else entirely. He wondered just how immortal and celestial would feel once he got there.

He already felt at the top of the world, just how high could he possibly get?

He then looked at the experience requirement for the tenth layer of core formation and sighed. He didn’t sigh because it was high, far from it. From what he could feel from his heavenly grade spiritual root, this was nothing. In those few seconds, he had already gained a few thousand points.

The problem was scaling.

With this being one million, it meant that the next realm would build upon that, with first layer golden core probably being one million and one hundred thousand, and the tenth layer of golden core being ten million. He felt it was scaling way too fast, and his speed of improving his root might reduce.

Like now, he had no idea how long it would take to upgrade his spiritual root to immortal, and after that, it would take even longer to upgrade to celestial while the experience requirement kept increasing. He needed to find another way. Well, he’d think about it later. In fact, he already had a few ideas forming in his head.

Looking again at the million experience requirement, he guessed it was probably over ten times the required amount for a normal core formation. He wondered what type of golden core he was going to form. Since his system always went for the absolute limit, then he would name his core the absolute core.

He hoped the system didn’t disappoint him.

He then looked at his second core, the beast core. He wondered what would happen to it. Would it also transform into an absolute core? Then would he have two absolute cores?

Moving on to his reset screen, Xiang Yu nodded his head as he observed the body refining experience.

It seemed the battle wasn’t in vain after all. Gaining ten thousand experience in a single day with his high level body refining was impressive. After doubling, he was now in the thirty-first layer of body refining.

He wondered if his combat power could now reach early tribulation realm if he also accounted for the new order domain. The answer was probably not. Even so, he decided to check it out later in the simulation to see where he stood exactly.

The rest of his intrinsic stats didn’t have much change except for his war god body and his soul flame. The war god body was well past the halfway point and would advance to the next level in the next reset. Xiang Yu guessed this was because of the battle. Just like the name suggested, it seemed the best way to upgrade the war god body was through actual combat.

Too bad the simulations didn’t work as his body condition would always reset after each simulation.

Xiang Yu wondered if upgrading the battle simulation system function could change this.

Probably not. After all, it looked more like a feature than an actual bug. If it didn’t work that way, wouldn’t his injuries persist in the real world too after simulation? What if he died in the simulation?

Still, he couldn’t be so sure. He decided to test it the next time he got an upgrade chance.

The fusion function, although nice, didn’t seem to be giving him what he wanted. Besides, he had a new theory that he could use to merge the bloodlines without having the fusion function remove its compatibility requirement.

Another reason he wanted to upgrade the battle simulation function was that the range was simply too small. He wanted to be able to sense enemies without having to be within their attack range.

It would be even better if he could use it through his clones though he wasn’t betting on that happening. All system functions seemed to only want to work through and within his main body.

For the soul flame, it was also well past the halfway point and would upgrade to the next realm after the next reset. This was one of those things that Xiang Yu wasn’t particularly interested in. “Well, I suppose it’s useful for my void palm,” he thought.

Speaking of, the void palm had just entered the second level. Its strength was greatly increased and it also received a few optimizations.

Looking at the abilities reminded Xiang Yu of something he’d been wondering for a while now. That was if there was something like a heavenly grade technique. According to the Empress, there were no techniques above the divine grade. And there was no reason to have them. After all, at this level, people mostly fought through domains and later laws, making abilities meaningless.

Even so, scriptures were still there – heavenly grade, immortal, and even celestial grade.

Speaking of domains, Xiang Yu didn’t know what to think about them. The domains appeared in his status screen but they didn’t show any experience so they didn’t level up during the doubling process. He wondered if domains didn’t level up in general, or if he simply didn’t know how to level them up.
