Chapter 411: Chapter 12: Order
Jade Land, Order Tower.
“Tap, tap, tap!”
Within the spacious Order Hall, the sound of footsteps echoed, tight and urgent, clear amidst the quiet hall.
Three figures walked through the corridor ahead.
They wore matching black cloaks, embroidered with complex patterns in dark golden thread, resembling a flower formed from multiple rune structures.
Order Flower.
An odd flower that exists in Wizard World legends, used as a totem by only one Wizard Organization—the Order Tower.
The three individuals were wizards from the Order Tower.
Apparently urgent matters drove them as they sped towards the depths of the Order Tower, stopping at a large door.
This door stood over a hundred meters high, strikingly majestic.
A small bird cage hung above the door, almost negligible against the vast door like a mountain wall.
Yet the three wizards respectfully addressed the bird cage, “Master Bellman, please convey to Master Clark that we have an urgent report.”
A canary resided in the cage, its feathers a transparent gold, leisurely grooming itself.
Upon hearing the wizards below, the canary flapped its wings and flew from the cage, slipping through a hole at the top of the door.
A moment later…
“Glug, glug!”
A peculiar sound arose.
The metal door began to ripple, as if transforming into a muddy pond, and soon a giant face appeared on the door.
The three wizards hurriedly paid their respects, “Master Clark.”
This was Clark, the resident Witch Master responsible for the Jade Land at the Order Tower.
Clark’s giant face gazed aloofly at the three below, his voice reverberating through the spacious hall, “You better have a reasonable explanation for interrupting my cultivation. Speak up, Jackman.”
His gaze settled on Jackman, the lead wizard.
Jackman straightened and spoke, “We’ve just received news. The Shadow Church has been attacked.”
“Shadow Church?”
Clark quickly recalled this wizard organization and remarked disdainfully, “What? Is Jade Land starting a new round of reshuffling? Did you instigate it?”
Jackman shook his head, “No, we didn’t do anything.”
Clark’s eyes showed a hint of oddity, “So they initiated a war on their own? Huh, have they been drawn into the chaotic cycle? Originally, I intended to act after my retreat. Now, it’s been simplified.”
But soon Clark noticed Jackman’s tense expression.
He couldn’t help asking, “What’s wrong?”
Jackman replied, “I’m sorry, Master. Jade Land hasn’t entered the planned new cycle of chaos as expected. The war is limited to the Shadow Church and another wizard organization, with no movement elsewhere in Jade Land.”
Clark was taken aback.
His brows furrowed, “What’s going on?”
Jackman said, “Here’s the situation…”
With that, he recounted the details to Clark, including how Shadow Church conflicted with Feiyan City, how Feiyan City initiated the war, and how Shadow Church was attacked.
Clark’s expression visibly showed anger after hearing the account.
“Damn it!”
“Damn it! Damn it!”
“That cursed thing dares to disrupt our plans!”
Jade Land was inevitably destined for war, yet according to their original plan, it should involve a fully engaged war, engulfing all forces in the land—wizards, humans, and other beings—into collective chaos.
However, the current war intensity and scale far fell short of their previous plans, completely disrupting their arrangements.
In anger, Clark declared, “What exactly is this Feiyan City? Where did it come from?”
Jackman responded, “It’s a newly emerging wizard organization, rising more than a decade ago. Their Witch Master is a wizard named Saphiro, whose power is around the Secret Skill Level.”
“His specific identity isn’t clear; he seems to be an outsider wizard.”
“Upon arriving in Jade Land, he clashed with Feiyan City’s original Witch Master Tristan, killed him, then took over Tristan’s Witch Domain, using Feiyan City as the center to establish his own wizard organization.”
Jackman briefly described what he knew.
Clark recalled something, puzzled, “I remember, wasn’t this the guy you mentioned earlier—the one raising human Knights to excavate the Underground City?”
When Lynch first emerged, Order Tower had already noticed him. After all, a Second Tier Mystic Technique identity is never lacking attention.
Back then, Jackman had thoroughly investigated Lynch’s actions and presented them to Clark, but because Lynch’s influence wasn’t significant, he hadn’t caused Clark any particular concern.
Unexpectedly, this insignificant organization overturned the Dark Moon Church during Clark’s retreat, disrupting his prior arrangements.
Jackman nodded, “Yes, Master.”
“Damn thing!”
Clark cursed angrily, then asked, “How’s the Dark Moon Church now?”
Jackman replied, “We’ve detected intense elemental fluctuations there, and from the images ’Eyes’ sent back, a large part of Black Mist Jungle was burned down, with spiritual power remnants belonging to Tarim. He likely activated his body’s bloodline with spiritual power for a self-detonation.”
Clark’s face darkened.
He continued asking, “What about elsewhere? How’s the war casualty between the two sides in the Human World?”
Jackman reported, “From the returned information, the war casualties in the Human World are relatively small. Feiyan City incorporated wizards into Knight units, advancing rapidly, and Tarim’s realm was mostly defeated before they could react.”
Hearing this, Clark’s expression finally eased a little; since the damage wasn’t severe, the integrity of energy could still be preserved.
Clark pondered for a moment and said, “Send someone to contact that kid, assess the situation. Since Tarim failed, allow him to replace Tarim’s position and, if necessary, offer some assistance to quickly recover losses from this war.”
Since events already transpired, anger was futile; now it was important to mitigate losses.
“Regardless, ensure ample energy before the time arrives.”
“Absolutely, absolutely, it must not affect the sacrifice!”
