Chapter 1866 - 1963: Hou Yi Arrives

Chapter 1866: Chapter 1963: Hou Yi Arrives

"Two more years, and he will become a Pill Sovereign." Fang Lin muttered to himself, referring to none other than Fang Lin himself, who was in the Pill Saint Palace.

Fang Lin was very aware that once his self from this era became a Pill Sovereign, he would inevitably start concocting the Life and Death Reincarnation Pill, and everything would erupt because of this pill. Whether the situation would develop according to the preordained direction, no one could predict.

Even Fang Lin, coming from the later generations, felt uncertain. After all, two Ancient Spirit Incarnations still lacked identified identities and whereabouts, and it was unclear whether they would reveal themselves soon.

For now, all Fang Lin could do was try to enhance his own strength and prepare to face the impending changes.𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

As for returning to the later generations, Fang Lin believed Xuanyuan Ya wouldn’t deceive him. Since it was said someone from the future would come to take him back, there surely wouldn’t be any mistake.

While Fang Lin was sitting atop the mountain cliff contemplating, a figure suddenly appeared and descended directly into the village below the cliff. Fang Lin, sitting on the cliff, hadn’t noticed until the person landed, which astounded him.

The fact that someone could appear without Fang Lin noticing their presence meant their cultivation and strength were far above Fang Lin’s, definitely one of the top martial artists of this era.

Fang Lin stood up and looked down, seeing the person’s tall stature, a belt of tiger skin around the waist, and slightly disheveled long hair that hung behind, embodying a wild aura.

Fang Lin, upon seeing him, understood who he was— the new Martial Lord, Hou Yi!

In his past life, Fang Lin had seen Hou Yi, though only once or twice, but he would never forget Hou Yi’s appearance.

"He also came here, could it be for the murals in the ancient cave, or does he have another purpose?" Fang Lin’s mind was filled with various doubts, his expression quite unsettled, since this person was the latest Martial Arts Supreme, invincible and unmatched.

Hou Yi descended into the village, looking up at Fang Lin when their eyes met. Although Hou Yi didn’t deliberately exert pressure, Fang Lin’s heart skipped suddenly, feeling weighed down by an immense force.

This is the majesty of the Martial Lord; a mere casual glance is sufficient to silence all the martial artists in the world.

Hou Yi’s appearance also made the village people on edge, each grabbing their weapons to surround Hou Yi, much like when Fang Lin first arrived here.

"Fang Qingye didn’t deceive me, there really is such a village." Hou Yi said, not paying attention to these wary, almost primitive villagers.

Hou Yi waved his hand, and an invisible aura enveloped the place. Everyone except Fang Lin, who was standing on the cliff, was caught under Hou Yi’s aura, unable to move.

In the next moment, Hou Yi leaped directly to Fang Lin’s front, scrutinizing him with an inquisitive gaze.

"Who are you? Why are you here?" Hou Yi asked Fang Lin.

Fang Lin was slightly stunned by Hou Yi’s gaze and didn’t react for a while, quickly clasping his hands respectfully, "Greetings, Supreme."

Hou Yi chuckled, "How did you know I am the Martial Arts Supreme? Do not tell me you can see through my cultivation."

Fang Lin murmured inwardly, I do know you, Hou Yi. It’s just that you don’t know me now.

"I once saw Supreme from afar and remember the Supreme’s appearance," Fang Lin replied.

Upon hearing this, Hou Yi nodded thoughtfully, then frowned again, "What’s your name? And why are you here?"

Fang Lin knew he couldn’t deceive Hou Yi about anything; after all, the opponent had already found this place, certainly aware of those secrets, it was meaningless to deceive Hou Yi further.

"I, like Supreme, am also one of the people caught in the situation," Fang Lin spoken solemnly.

Indeed, upon hearing this, Hou Yi’s expression changed slightly, his gaze filled with suspicion as he looked at Fang Lin.

"In the midst of it? What do you know?" Hou Yi asked, suspecting this person before him could have been sent by Mo Shouhe, especially now that Hou Yi knew about the Ancient Spirit Incarnations from Fang Qingye, Fang Lin’s presence here couldn’t help but arouse suspicion.

Fang Lin looked directly at Hou Yi, although the latter was the Martial Arts Supreme, Fang Lin showed no sign of fear, appearing calm, which already made Hou Yi secretly impressed.

After becoming a Martial Lord, Hou Yi had been trying hard to avoid contact with martial artists worldwide, unwilling to see them grovel before him, which was irritating.

Yet this kid, merely at Immortal’s late stage, could stand before him without changing expression—not everyone could do that, even if pretending to be calm, it required certain courage.

"Supreme, please take a look inside the ancient cave, and you will understand. There are many things I need not explain; Supreme will comprehend." Fang Lin said, without much elaboration, merely urging Hou Yi to view the ancient cave.

Hou Yi nodded, as he came here to observe those so-called murals, similar to Fang Lin’s previous motive, to verify some matters and theories.

He wasn’t worried about any traps or crises here; considering Hou Yi’s current strength, any trap or crisis in his eyes was a mere joke, easily resolved with a flick of the finger, making any ambush meaningless to Hou Yi.

Hou Yi and Fang Lin went down to the bottom of the cliff, watching Hou Yi reach out and inscribe on the stone wall, obviously knowledgeable in array disarming methods, without needing guidance from the villagers.

Entering the ancient cave, Hou Yi was immediately captivated by the murals, all his attention fixed upon them.

Fang Lin maintained his calm demeanor, having long been familiar with the murals here, merely standing quietly by and waiting.

After some time, Hou Yi finally composed himself, though the astonishment on his face hadn’t entirely faded.

"It seems just as Fang Qingye said." Hou Yi thought silently, having comprehended all the mural’s contents, since Fang Qingye had told Hou Yi everything, without any concealment or reservation, totally different from Fang Lin’s earlier situation.

"Now Supreme should believe, I am also one of the people caught in the situation." Fang Lin stated.

Hou Yi nodded slightly, then looked at Fang Lin, with a strange expression, "Where did you come from, kid?"

Fang Lin trembled inwardly upon hearing this – how should he answer? Should he just say he came from the future?

"Never mind, you don’t have to say it," Hou Yi suddenly waved his hand, not letting Fang Lin respond.
