"I didn't come here to play…. What you said in the email, is it true? Are you willing to support the monsters in this battle for slaughtering the angels?"
"Everything that I said in that email will be provided for you as long as you accept it… no need to pay me back as well. I have my own plans,"
"And what might be those plans, if you don't mind me asking? I don't want somebody who is bound to betray me right by my side,"
"This new world you're trying to create where it's ruled by monsters… allow me to assist you, and if this plan succeeds, help me achieve a higher status than the emperor of this nation. I want to rule a continent. An entire continent, at least,"
He's as greedy as ever… how amusing.
"That's great to hear that you'll provide so much support, but I hope you know… that I barely trust you at all. If I wanted to even so much as let you get near my people, I would have you on a leash, tied to the base of a volcano,"
"That isn't very nice… but I do have a proposal… well, quite literally. How about your daughter and my son marry each other? It's more of a political suggestion rather than something purely based on feelings. They're about the same age and are quite strong… they'll be a good match to hold power over not only the opponent but us as a whole,"
"So what you're saying is once we become bonded politically… Nah, I don't get it. How would this make me trust you,"
"Because once we announce such a thing, the other's head will be put on a stick,"
"That's great, but mine already is…." I smiled before it slowly faded, and my eyes widened as I looked at him with his crazy idea. "That's just a loss for you then… You lose twice while I lose only once by having your son marry my daughter,"
"If that is what it takes to become the emperor of a continent, I wouldn't mind sacrificing a bit more than what I have to give,"
"Hmmm…" I slowly began to think, and as the man's eyes began to glow a dim red in tandem with his smile, a warm hand patted me on the back.
"There is no need for skills, your highness," A familiar voice announced, and when I snapped my head around, I saw Mia standing right behind me.
"I thought you wouldn't come," I giggled before giving her a long and comforting hug, but just as she tried to get away, I continued to hug her with all my might.
"Alright… well, I guess we can just talk from here," Mia lightly chuckled before glancing up at the emperor, who clearly wasn't pleased to see her. "What? Disappointed I'm here when you're the one who proposed to me first?"
I lightly chuckled upon seeing the emperor's cheery smile fade into oblivion, a harsh glare soon replacing it.
"I hope you know I didn't do that out of love," He retorted quickly before snapping his fingers, causing a servant to run in and hand him a glass of wine, soon running back out without a second of hesitation.
"Of course, I'm well aware," She chuckled, and as I slowly let go from my wife, she twirled me around, so I fit neatly into her embrace as she lightly hugged me from behind, clearly attempting to piss off the emperor even more.
"*sigh*... well, I guess you would have needed to ask your wife anyway… so, Miss Ruler of Norway… what is your position on the marriage? Don't you want my support, especially when I hold a monopoly on the mechs of the world,"
"It is quite an intriguing idea, although I don't really care much for it. We alone are enough, so reserving you a spot in our new world isn't very necessary… though, depending on your son's personality, I may permit it," She smirked.
The emperor glared back before finally cracking open his lips, unable to refute unless he wanted to anger her more than need be.
"He's currently out on a raid as of now, but he'll be back in a few days, so how about you stay over? My hospitality is quite cozy, and the walls are soundproof," He smirked at Mia, who just rolled her eyes.
"Fine, but if I catch the slightest whiff of something fishy, I'm gonna slaughter everybody in this palace… including those concubines of yours,"
"Whatever, you know where to go. There is no need for servants to lead you," He sighed, but as Mia's glare began to deepen, he let out a long groan and stood up, kicking his throne out of anger, nearly causing it to break.
"FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!" He repeatedly shouted while kicking his throne until it really did break and crumble into pieces. "Fine! Servants! Lead them to their rooms!"
And as a few servants led us away, I gave the emperor the middle finger with a large smirk, causing him to glare straight into my soul all the way until we left the throne room.
"What an idiot," Mia smirked before looking down at her shadow for some reason, but by the time we arrived at our room, I had figured it out since there was only one person who was proficient in shadow magic that I knew I couldn't detect.
"You're supposed to be training my daughter," I groaned, but upon seeing how nice the modern room was, I couldn't help but shake away these negative thoughts and just jump onto the bed, slowly sinking into it.
Mia also climbed onto the bed, letting Charna out from her shadow, which she came up from gasping for air.
"Holy shit… I've never swum through such a dense shadow," Charna huffed, and upon seeing Mia reach out her hand towards me, she just let out a long sigh and dived into another shadow just across the room.
"Hand," Mia smiled, and I quickly took it before she brought me in for a long and loving kiss.
