The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 284: Working as A Ruler of Tolf (1)

"Just give it a few minutes," I chuckled as she awkwardly backed away and let me get up.

We moved our way over to the bed, where I immediately took the lead and wrapped both my arms around Synzer's waist, bringing her in for a slow and sensual kiss.

My tongue invaded her mouth as she moaned into mine, so horny that her minty fresh breath was practically panting into my throat.

And, just as I pushed her onto the bed, I locked her hands above her head, and she saw a tent slowly emerge from my nightgown.

"Alright, baby… let's get to it," I muttered seductively before taking off my nightgown.

(Lucy POV)

About two months had passed since I returned to earth, and everything had been incredible. And I truly felt like I was on top of the world.

Even though I still had to work being a member of Tolf, I was easily able to crush entire cities with just a single flick of my finger.

Our loyal and almost brainwashed followers continuously followed our commands, and as we had thousands upon thousands of them, with some even being top-tier adventurers, then we were also able to tie a noose around the necks of a few trillionaires.

But, we didn't let them drop yet as we kept them there as they continuously fed us a slice of their massive paycheck.

We were racking in tens upon billions of dollars every month, and only upon seeing our treasury which was kept in a base thousands of miles beneath point Nemo, I knew why infiltration and the gap between the rich and poor had grown so big.

"With this much money, who would ever want to share," I lightly chuckled to myself before looking over at the servant that I was given.

"Please pick from whatever you want here. Everything is for your taking… as everything is rightly yours," The butler confirmed, and so I quickly picked out a few skill books that looked interesting.

[You have acquired the skill: Sword Master's Aura]

[You have acquired the skill: Sword Master's Flying Sword Control]

[You have acquired the skill: Sword Master's Detection Ring]

"Those are some incredible skills that we picked up in Aisa. Japan was a bit resistant at first, but eventually, we were able to negotiate for them. These were meant to be given to the emperor's son, so of course, we also had to take care of the one who was bugging us," The man smirked, and I immediately got the gist of the situation.

"So, how many trillions did you have to pay?"

"Twelve, ma'am. But, that was an investment for the leaders who were planning on learning more than one weapon,"

"I see… well, where are the others now? Are they still working in their separate countries?" I asked as we were all practically shadow leaders of some of the most major countries in the world.

But, in order to control all of them, at least one of us had to be stationed on that continent or around the same region so they could directly and quickly make rapid decisions.

There is also the problem that the heroes and most adventurer guilds are out for anybody who was a part of Tolf, but just because we had a marking of Tolf on our tongues, that doesn't mean we marked all of our subordinates.

If we went around marking them and people eventually found out, we would be crushed to the ground almost instantly.

"Yes, ma'am. Also… your work has piled up again. Please get back to it before it begins to pile up again," My butler said, and I could only roll my eyes before exiting the treasury and letting the teleporter teleport me straight back to the country I was currently stationed in: Japan.

"Hmmm… So these skills that seemed to be the strongest ones out of all of the other skill books used to be the property of the old man? Hmph… how amusing," I chuckled lightly before stepping off the teleporter and walking onto the balcony, looking over the beautiful rice fields.

This place was like the two sides of earth… one was filled with technology and was one of the main leading powerhouses of technology for the new world, while the other side was a peaceful countryside, completely untouched by factories and the destructive hand of humankind.

As I walked back into my castle, a few maids greeted me and led me to my office, where I put on a single pair of glasses.

"Would you like anything to snack on while working?" One of the maids asked, but I didn't even reply to her as my jaw dropped from the copious amounts of emails that had flooded my inbox.

These were all from the branch leaders of Tolf that were overseeing different sections, cities, and prefectures.

Some were pretty obedient, while some were more rebellious than others, leaving me with piles upon piles of stress due to some of these branch leaders occasionally just deciding to become the most incompetent living things on earth.

While I was managing them and their shit, they couldn't even take care of their personal affairs or even fend for themselves without me having to step in.

As the reality around me began to augment from the glasses, I ran through the emails until night had fallen, where I still didn't get a break as I then had to have a few meetings that lasted me all the way until the very next morning.

"UGH! THESE INCOMPETENT USELESS BASTARDS!" I shouted, stomping on the comfortable tatami mat sitting right beneath my feet.

My maids, who had just entered the room, slowly backed out of it upon seeing my enraged state, leaving with the tea that I had just called for.

"Tch… Bring me my tea," I muttered, and my dark eyebags only accentuated my terrifying and looming presence that nearly caused these A-rank dungeon runners, who were now maids, to almost faint.

"W-We'll excuse ourselves," Both maids muttered as they set the tea down on the wooden table in the corner of the room, only running off upon seeing me sigh yet again, waving my hand to dismiss them.

"You look stressed… when was the last time you slept?" A man asked, slowly waltzing into the room with a large smile.

"Just yesterday… and, go get me some water. This tea is too herbal, and it's drying my throat up," I muttered, turning to the almost beautiful man.

He had long dark blue hair, deep black eyes, a pale white face with flushed pink lips, and even though his body was draped by a long black robe, you could still kind of see the definition in his lean muscular body.

"As you wish, your excellency,"

And as he attempted to kiss my hand with a wide smug smile, I quickly ripped my palm away and waved him off.

"I was just joking around," He lightly chuckled before exiting the room and closing the traditional sliding Japanese door behind me.

As soon as he returned with a glass of water, I finished my cup of tea and then soon downed the refreshing glass of ice-cold liquid.

"Allow me to help you with some of your work. I feel bad making my boss do so much while I just sit around,"

"Shut the hell up and stay quiet. You know why you're here… because you royally fucked up and managed to get your branch nearly destroyed by the emperor's personal hitmen… if I hadn't sent Kuza there, you would've all been dead," I angrily gnashed my teeth.

"Please forgive me," The man muttered, yet I just rolled my eyes, completely ignoring him. "How mean,"

As he lay down in the corner of the room, I finished up the rest of the emails that I had been procrastinating on for at least a few days, but now that I had finished, I could finally relax.

I called all of the servants within this castle to the main hall, where they all nervously chatted to themselves, not even daring to look into my unrested and nearly dead eyes.

"Ugh… I'm gonna visit Mia for the rest of the day. Clear my schedule and only call me back if there is some emergency with one of the branches… And I called you all here because I want you to know that your paychecks will be doubled for your loyalty. Though, one vacation day has been taken off as compensation… though, I'm sure you all don't mind," I smirked, and all of the servants let out loud cheers that shook the walls of this castle.

Money was a great way to keep loyalty and keep the kindness of somebody that began to trust you.

"Also, Linx is in charge of the castle until I get back… but try to keep him in check," I smiled before glancing over at Kuza, who had already prepared the teleporter sitting just in the corner of the hall.

Now, it's really time to relax.
