The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 199: Trial: Vampire God (3)

"Nell, wake up," I said, shaking my sister awake, and she cutely wiped her eyes as she glanced around, trying to figure out where we were.

"Where… Where are we?" She asked, and I gave her a quick reply before hugging her tightly.

"In an arena for the next trial, but don't worry, I'll make quick work of the opponents so we can go back," I said while wrapping my arms around her.

"H-Hey, do this with Sophia or something," Nell stuttered, slightly embarrassed.

"Oh my, I just worked my ass off, so can't I at least have some type of reward?" I asked though it was jokingly.

But to my surprise, Nell pulled me in for a tighter hug, and I kissed her lightly on the top of her head as she began to cry into my arms.

"Thank you for saving me," She muttered as her tears wet my casual clothing.

"Well, it was my fault you ended up in that position anyway, so you shouldn't be apologizing. Plus, I kept getting the answers wrong cause that man manipulated me," I responded with a chuckle, and I saw Nell smile.

Seeing her smile made me smile, and for about fifteen more minutes, Nell continued to hug me, even when I tried to push her away.

She was so fucking strong that it felt as if she was going to break my back, literally. Like, I can feel the vertebrae in my spine giving out.

"Okay, Nell, that's enough. You're going to kill me," I chuckled wearingly, but inside, I was screaming in pain.

"No," She sternly said while pouting, and her adorable expression made me give in once again, so I let her hug me all the way until the thirty minutes had passed.

*snap*

All of a sudden, I teleported out of the extremely tight hug of Nell, and appeared back in the arena, where I stood face to face with a tall dhampir who looked to have their own consciousness.

"Yet another slave," I muttered, and without hesitation, the vampire god explained the no rules and started the match.

Everything went by so quickly, but I was already prepared for the man's first move since it looked exactly like how Lucy used to start when we sparred.

A punch… right about… now.

In an instant, the dhampir punched his claw towards me, trying to take out my eyes in an instant but I ducked out of the way and began to follow up with a dagger to their ankles.

It was an unexpected move that he obviously hadn't anticipated because I didn't show this speed in my previous fight, and this dhampir clearly fell for it.

"Lowly bitch," I heard the dhampir mutter, and I couldn't help but chuckle a bit before throwing my two blood-red daggers at the man.

SHING SHING

They flew through the air and threatened to cut him up, but he just barely managed to deflect them with his long nails that were essentially like claws.

But, as he was distracted with this very basic move, I scrolled through my decently large arsenal of skills and activated two of them.

[Blood Curse]

[Dagger Art: Seven Bloody Wings]

Before, I used [Blood Curse] as more of a defensive move that only worked against vampires or anything that bit me and sucked out of my blood.

But, the curse is already placed on my blood, and when the vampires suck it out, the curse transfers to them.

The pain and destruction on my body are insane when I use this skill, but due to one of my passive skills, [Draconic Healing], my body doesn't completely meltdown after a few minutes of using it.

Though, why am I saying all this? Well, you'll see…

Suddenly, seven small red wings floated around me, but each had a small handle that I was able to grab if I wanted to.

"Your little tricks won't do shit against me," The dhampir said before finally activating one of his skills which created a blood longsword in his hand.

He had also slit his wrists, creating small puddles of blood that began to wave in the air threateningly.

"Interesting," I muttered before firing a one-winged dagger at him as a warning and to scare him a bit.

I mean, this guy was so fucking weak compared to me.

SHING… CRASH

The dhampir went to block the dagger with one of his own sword skills that just coated his longsword in a blood-red aura, but to his surprise, my dagger shattered his sword and absorbed all the surrounding blood that floated around him.

It then stabbed into his knee, which was obviously intentional… as I wanted to set an example for the vampires that will be coming after this.

"AHHHHHHHH!" He shouted as black runes spread across his entire leg but then stopped at his waist.

His screams of pain only made me smile wider, and all of a sudden, the black runed leg burst into blood-red flames, which disintegrated it into nothing.

"Oh, I didn't know your kind could cry," I chuckled before stepping over to him and crushing his other leg with a single stomp.

"ARGHHHHHHH!" He cried out as he writhed in pain on the ground, trying to claw his way away from me.

Eventually, he began to try and beg the vampire god to stop the match and save him, but he only received a cold stare.

"Did you forget the rules of the match?" I muttered.

CRUSH… CRUSH… CRUSH… CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH

And after one final stomp, the bloody and pulpy but still alive dhampir finally died as I crushed his head into oblivion, spraying me with even more blood.

"I would've ended it quickly if you didn't call me a bitch," I muttered before turning to the vampire god, who only gave me a warm smile.

"Congratulations. The winner is Astra Bloodriver. You have also received a reward for your endeavors," He said before snapping, and a glass of fresh blood appeared in my hand.

"I just drank some of the dhampirs blood, so I don't see why I need this. My cravings have already been settled," I said, but the vampire god just chuckled.

"Don't worry. This isn't just to satisfy your cravings. Its blood straight from me, the God of Blood and War. By drinking it, the potential for your future will increase tenfold, not limiting you to a lowly countess… but a demon lord. Plus, your stats will receive a huge bonus,"

"A demon lord? Why would I ever need to become a demon lord? I just want to live a peaceful life with Sophia, and that's it," I said.

"Don't be a fool and think of your situation. That girl with snow-white hair who reminds me of one of my coworkers already knows it as well… Earth is bound to die, and the remaining survivors will be split into planes. Depending on which plane you start on, you'll either have a terrible time or possibly that peaceful life you always dreamed of. But, never be too content as planes are being constantly fought over by control. There is even a war brewing between the angels and demons right now, but my Boss should be able to solve it quickly," He said, and everything just confused me more.

Planes? Gods? Angels and Demons?

"I know it must be confusing, but some of the information will be obtained once you drink my blood. Plus, there is no option for a thirty-minute rest as I'll be giving you two months. That should be enough time for you to fully absorb my blood," The vampire god said, and I just gulped before staring at the almost perfect and delicious smelling blood.

My mouth couldn't stop watering as I stared into the center of the glass.

"What about my sister? What will become of her while I'm absorbing this?" I asked as I was still wary of this man.

I mean, he was the one who was torturing my sister right in front of me… kinda.

"She will be given the highest of treatment. The best room, a palace to herself, her own servants, and a few knights that she could spar with if she ever wanted to. She will also be under the protection of those knights," He said, and I heaved a heavy sigh of relief.

"If I come back and she's dead, I won't ever forgive you,"

"No need to worry. I will also be making sure she doesn't die," He said.

But, just before I drank the blood, I had one last question.

We were in a large arena fitting for a king's audience, but the sky was literally just space and stars, nothing else.

"Where are we?"

"This place goes by many names. Heaven, Valhalla, a place you see when you reach Nirvana… But the real name that you mortals aren't aware of is The Gods Plane,"
