"I guess you could say that, but in reality, you need a blast attack to actually harm me. Physical things with blades and shit will just get nullified by one of my skills which turns those wounds into holes of sand. If you sent a blizzard at me, I probably would've gotten wounded though," She explained.
"Interesting… Well, I admit defeat. If I knew you had that, though, I would've just done that from the start… but fair is fair," I said before the next sparring duo came up… and this was a long-awaited one.
Nuala and Electra.
Obviously, as sisters, they have this unshakable rivalry, but since they're such powerful and twisted monsters now… that desire to defeat the other has just become the desire to kill the other.
We haven't had to stop them many times, but when things did escalate, it became very bad.
For example, one time, they were brawling it out, you know, the usual but all of a sudden, Electra grabbed Nualas throat and pressed down onto it, leaving her gasping for air.
We had to break them up immediately; otherwise, Nuala would actually die.
They both received a harsh scolding by Ethel later on as well, but that doesn't mean they stopped completely.
"BRING IT ON BITCH!" Nuala shouted, creating a large bow of ice which had a massive icicle drawn as the arrow.
She was ready to unleash absolute hell on her…
…
HUFF HUFF HUFF HUFF
The fight lasted for about two days which surprised us all as we never thought any of them had that in them, but I guess they do.
Plus, the crazy thing is, the fight ended in a draw… A DRAW!
By the time Ethel came back home with her girl, both of her sisters had knocked each other out and were on the brink of dying.
If it wasn't for Clio and Celestine, both of them would have ended up dying, as I swear they were on the very brink of diving into hell.
"Though, I guess this is a good thing," I muttered as Mia, and I stared at the miniature hexagonal device in front of us.
It was the teleporter Mia had snatched from the few pieces of shit that haunted me for so long.
"Well, what did you find out? Did you at least figure out the location or something?"
"Yes, and we also figured out how to use it. Amanda couldn't decipher the runes, but eventually, she found a small indent that let her teleport,"
"Wait! She teleported already?!"
"Yeah, but she came back, so don't worry. Though, what she saw didn't really add up with what you said… You said you saw a type of cultish thing, right?" Mia asked.
"Yeah… Did she not see that because I'm sure I saw that,"
"Well, no, she did not, in fact see that,"
…
"What the hell is this?" I muttered as I stared up at the wall lined with flaming torches and various paintings splashed onto the rocky wall.
All twelve of us stared at the patterns before feeling a few presences matched with a few voices trail down the stone hall, all the way to us.
Charna quickly dragged us into the shadows, and when we saw the people come out from the turn, we shivered.
Black hoods, deathly pale skin, and pitch-black eyes… They didn't look human, but they were definitely human, judging by their power.
A humanoid monster like this would be much more powerful, though we still can't underestimate them.
We made sure they came right in front of us before we slipped out of the shadows and snapped their necks before dragging everything, including each drop of blood, into the shadows below.
"So this is it… This is the place," I muttered.
We had only walked for a few minutes and encountered a lab that took the form of the rocky cave we were in.
There was no site of worship, but I think we found something worse… no it was definitely much worse.
The sight in front of us made our blood boil, but as we were still in an unexpected place, we kept the killing intent to a minimum.
"Fucking bastards… They're not human,"
Slaughtered, tortured children who had been previously experimented on were now dead in front of us. Their corpses were lying cold on the floor.
This would've been me if they had captured me before…
It was a bit strange that we felt so enraged at the sight of dead human children who had most likely experienced hell before getting the chance to die but don't feel a shred of pity for any other adult or teen we see slaughtered.
"It's a thin line," I muttered before Mia cremated the kids, and we all slipped into the shadows below us.
More humans dressed in black cloaks came walking to the lab, which had already been destroyed before we even got there… but strangely, they were surprised.
"INTRUDER! INTRUDER!" They immediately began to wail as they ran up and down the cave, eventually leaving our sight.
'Let's follow them,' I inform the other girls, and we all quickly follow them through the shadows.
It only took a few seconds for us to catch up to them with Charna's amazing skills, and eventually, we ran into these so-called intruders.
Demons? But weren't they on their side?
A few vampires were in front of us though they were definitely not as strong as the one we fought previously.
That guy was on a completely different level.
We had also found the cult-like room where all the worshipping stuff I had seen before was commencing, but this time, large barrels of what I assumed to be blood sat around the circular cave.
"WHAT A FEAST!" One of the vampires shouted, and just as it reached for one of the barrels, a few cloaked humans ran in the way, tearing them apart but also having the vampire back away.
Wow, they're that dedicated?
All of a sudden, a powerful and familiar presence appeared.
