The Forsaken's Revenge

Chapter 187 Chen Zheng's Fury

"Quick, get his master over here! Let's see what he's made of!" someone jeered.

Slick cursed angrily, "Fuck!"

"Throw him out!" Su Zhe's voice suddenly cut in.

In the next instant, a figure flashed past them. It was Huang Yun, moving like a bolt of lightning.

BANG!

With a sickening thud, Slick's body was sent flying through the air.

"Aargh!" he screamed in agony.

PFFT!

Slick landed several meters away, coughing up a mouthful of blood.

"Slick!" Zhuge Xiyu's scream echoed through the hall as she tried to rush to his side. However, a hand as heavy as a mountain clamped down on her shoulder, holding her in place.

Huang Yun's voice was as crisp as morning dew. "Be quiet."

She then walked elegantly over to Slick and grabbed his ankle. Powerless to resist, Slick was like a lamb being dragged away by a wolf. The crowd watched in stunned silence. They knew Slick weighed well over a hundred pounds, yet Huang Yun dragged him away as if he were weightless. Their awe for her grew.

BANG!

Like a discarded doll, Slick was ruthlessly tossed out of the banquet hall.

Just then, Su Zhe's voice, as cold as ice, addressed her. "Miss Zhuge, I'll give you fifteen minutes to think it over. I expect a satisfactory answer."

The moment he finished speaking, his gaze left Zhuge Xiyu. Following his lead, everyone else began to treat her as if she didn't exist.

"Fuck! Bastards!" Slick leaned painfully against the outer wall, his face a mask of agony. He felt as if every bone in his body had been dislocated. He struggled to pull out his phone and dial a number.

「The Guo Family.」

Chen Zheng was studying the results of the Spirit Jade Elixir when his phone rang.

"What's wrong?" he asked as he answered. At the sound of his voice, everyone else in the room immediately stopped their discussion.

"It's Slick. Miss Zhuge Xiyu is being forced to sell the Yan Shuiyu business at the Tingwang Hotel."

Chen Zheng's voice turned glacial. "Who? Tell me exactly what happened!"

Slick began to recount the events in his broken Mandarin.

After listening, Chen Zheng's expression grew even darker, as if shrouded by shadows. He cursed inwardly. Why hadn't Zhuge Xiyu told him about this sooner? Why did she wait until the situation was hopeless before seeking help?

"Alright. I'm on my way."

Chen Zheng hung up, leaving the members of the Guo Family and Dragon's Dive Pavilion to exchange bewildered glances. Their cultivation levels were high enough to have overheard the conversation, and the name Su Zhe sounded vaguely familiar.

"Grandfather, is that Su Zhe from the Su Family?" Guo Fu suddenly asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Indeed! It is him. We must go at once!" Guo Xiancheng replied, a flicker of shock in his eyes. The Guo and Su Families had a deep bond. In their youth, Guo Xiancheng and Su Weizhong had been inseparable friends.

"The Su Family? They're courting death," Wu murmured under his breath. After giving instructions to the men from Dragon's Dive Pavilion, he departed swiftly, leaving a mysterious air in his wake.

Meanwhile, Chen Zheng was already speeding towards the Tingwang Hotel. After a quick word with a waiter, he took the elevator up to the banquet hall.

As he stepped out of the elevator, he immediately saw Slick—a surprisingly handsome and mysterious-looking man—lying on the floor. Slick saw Chen Zheng as well and, enduring the pain, tried to get up, a glint of determination in his eyes.

Chen Zheng's gaze turned cold as he walked to Slick's side, his presence exuding a powerful aura. He reached out and channeled a stream of True Qi into Slick's body, which felt like a warm current flooding his limbs. In a mere instant, the turbulent qi and blood within Slick settled, and his injuries began to heal at a visible rate.

"Thank you, Master!" Slick said hastily, amazed by the miracle he had just witnessed.

"Let's go." Chen Zheng nodded and stepped into the glittering banquet hall.

In the brilliantly lit banquet hall, Su Zhe spoke in a flat tone. "Miss Zhuge, twenty minutes have passed. Your time is up. Have you made your decision?"

Zhuge Xiyu bit her lower lip, the image of Chen Zheng surfacing in her mind. Then, she said resolutely, "Su Zhe, you can stop dreaming. I will never hand over Yan Shuiyu, even if I must be ground to dust for it!"

"Is that so?" Su Zhe's gaze was as cold and deep as a frozen lake.

The guests in the banquet hall shivered from the chill in his voice, their faces etched with fear. They fell completely silent, like cicadas in winter.

"Very well." Su Zhe's voice was as dispassionate and firm as a winter wind. "Then both Zhuge Xiyu and Yan Shuiyu will cease to exist."

Hearing this, the guests collectively breathed a sigh of relief before turning to look at Zhuge Xiyu with hostile eyes.

"Yan Shuiyu is going to disappear?" a new voice suddenly cut in. "Have you asked for my permission?"

Surprise rippled through the crowd. They stared at the newcomer, whose words were like a sharp blade aimed directly at Su Zhe. Who is this person? What gives him the courage to challenge such authority here?

All eyes, like spotlights, fell upon the figures of Chen Zheng and Slick. Chen Zheng's face was devoid of expression, his eyes like a bottomless lake. He was a stranger to everyone present, but an indescribable light flickered in Zhuge Xiyu's eyes. She suddenly felt the heavy pressure on her shoulders vanish, as if she'd been liberated.

Huang Yun frowned, her heart filling with confusion. With the force I used earlier, he shouldn't have been able to stand, yet here he is, completely unharmed.

"Who are you?" Huang Yun's voice was glacial.

"Heh. You aren't qualified to ask me that," Chen Zheng said, glancing at her coolly, his expression frigid.

Huang Yun was so angry she actually laughed out loud. I may just be Su Zhe's personal assistant—his loyal dog, some might say—but given Master Su's status, who does this guy think he is, talking to me about qualifications? Suddenly, a thought struck her.

"Oh, I see! You must be the foreigner's master," she sneered. "My apologies for beating your dog."

Chen Zheng stopped and looked at Slick. "She's the one who hurt you?"

Slick nodded. It was humiliating, but it was the truth.

Chen Zheng gave a slight nod, a trace of resolve in his tone. "Go. Bring me back a victory."

Slick's eyes widened. How is that possible? I know I'm decent, but my chances of defeating a Qi Condensation Realm expert are next to none. However, it was a command from his master. Slick could only muster his courage and face the challenge head-on.

"Heh..." Su Zhe's lips curled into a derisive smile. This young man really overestimates himself. Daring to challenge a Qi Condensation Realm expert? The foreigner might have some skill, but before a master of the Qi Condensation Realm, he's nothing more than an ant.
