The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha!

Chapter 11: Knight Armor

Due to the precious nature of magic equipment, Erwin ultimately chose a dedicated warehouse in the training ground as the storage location.

After all, the entire Silver Moon Knight Fifth Squad only comprised five people, two of whom were non-combat personnel, making it impossible to allocate manpower for constant guarding. Storing it in the heavily guarded training ground warehouse was the best choice, also convenient for access.

...

After carefully studying the manual written in the common language of the continent, the training officially began.

First was basic physical training, divided into five parts: long-distance running, archery, equestrianism, infantry combat, and cavalry combat. To this end, Huoersi and several Knights under Yilin's command were specially invited to help test and evaluate.

Needless to say, Erwin scored straight A's, with long-distance running and infantry combat reaching S level.

An S level means that among the Knights under Yilin, it's difficult for anyone to compare with Erwin. If there is, it might be Pas's infantry combat.

When Erwin knocked Mike down, the soldiers watching burst into earth-shattering cheers.

"Nothing to say, really. I can't even last two rounds with General Mike, yet he actually knocked General Mike down..."

"He's still so young; he'll become even more formidable in the future."

"I have no objection to someone like that becoming the captain of the Silver Moon Knight Fifth Squad."

Reaching out his hand, Erwin lifted the fallen Mike, then helped him out of the combat arena amid the soldiers' cheers.

...

As for Matthew, his abilities were somewhat unsatisfactory.

He got an A in long-distance running, indicating excellent physical fitness, showing no issues. Then...

He got a C in archery, which is the passing line, meaning he didn't miss the target. He got a C in equestrianism, merely indicating he could ride a horse. In cavalry combat, he got a D, which is failing. Not to mention becoming a Knight, he's not even qualified as cavalry. His infantry combat, in which he was self-assured, was only a B.

Pas took him down in two moves, followed by a round of boos from the audience.

"Really? This is also a formal Knight of the Silver Moon Knight Fifth Squad? If that's the case, I could be one too."

"Are they recruiting openly? If they are, I should apply."

"Not impressive at all; I thought Knights would be at the same level as the captain."

In the end, street fighting is where Matthew excels, but street brawls and battlefield combat are ultimately different matters.

Amidst the boos, Matthew could only slink away from the combat arena.

...

Lastly, there was George.

He rode his horse onto the scene elegantly. All straight A's, with equestrianism and cavalry combat at S level.

When he directly knocked Huoersi off his horse, the entire scene went silent, with everyone wide-eyed. Moments later, resounding cheers erupted.

"Oh my god! How did he do that?"

"I'll never reach his level in my lifetime."

"The Silver Moon Knight Fifth Squad surely didn't disappoint me!"

Huoersi represented the pinnacle of cavalry combat in the Beisher Duchy, and everyone knew this. So, strictly speaking, George's cavalry combat surpassed even S level.

Riding his horse, George haughtily surveyed the crowd.

"Is this also a formal Knight of the Silver Moon Knight Fifth Squad?"

"No, I've heard he's not. He's just an intern."

"An intern? Then why is the other one a formal member? I mean the one that was just not good enough."

"I don't know about that; there might be some inside story."

"The Silver Moon Knight Order has inside stories too? I can't believe it."

With a "click," George closed his visor and then rode away without looking back.

Erwin and Cadina stood at a distance, silently watching.

On the other side, Matthew had a cheeky grin.

...

In any case, the team's initial assessment investigation was considered complete.

Matthew still had to undergo basic Knight training, while the other two, Erwin and George, could directly receive training on using magic equipment.

"There are three sets of armor magic runes in total, each with five usage opportunities. Two of them are a physical shield and a magic shield, both passively triggered when under attack. These two sets of runes are on the left and right shoulder plates, respectively. They will only activate when potential damage reaches a lethal level. The last set is a group shield, with the rune on the chest plate. It can extend the defense range to five meters around it, effective against both physical and magical attacks. The command is 'shield.'

"So if we're wearing armor, we can't say the word 'shield'?"

"No, you can. There's a small button on the left chest. If the button is not activated, nothing will be triggered, no matter what is said, even if under attack. All magic rune activations, including weapons, depend on this button. It is designed to facilitate non-threatening combat and prevent waste. If the button is damaged, it defaults to an activated state."

"Very considerate design." George remarked.

Huoersi stood quietly beside them, listening.

After a pause, Erwin continued: "Next is the sword, which comes in two types: dagger and longsword. The longsword has twenty-five enchantments and can unleash a Wind Blade, capable of slicing through any ordinary craftsmanship Knight armor within fifteen meters, with a maximum kill range of thirty-five meters. The dagger has six enchantments and can perform a piercing attack. Its effective lethal range is only ten meters, but its power is sufficient to break a standard magic shield. Next is the shield. The shield is very heavy, made from magically reinforced materials. In addition to another set of ten 'shield' runes, it also has an anti-impact magic. When a sufficiently powerful impact is received, it provides reverse cushioning. This has virtually no usage limits."
