Aísē: My Five Supernatural Wives

Chapter 69: Take responsibility

"Alright, I apologize for my words and actions, but that was the only way I could save you," I muttered to hopefully solve the situation.

But Aisha's Eyes narrowed at my words, a flash of anger crossed her face, "Apologize?" She repeated my words sharply in her tongue. "Surely you don't think an apology is enough to make up for your crimes."

She took a step closer to me as she spoke, her presence intimidating. "Even if you did it to save my life, for saints, the purity of their heart is the most important, and ever since your vile lips stole mine, my heart is unstable." Her voice echoed in the room with a chilling tone.

"Sir Valerian, since you are not much aware of the supernatural world, let me tell you." She stopped just an inch apart from me and took off her blindfold, revealing her beautiful white eyes.

But strangely, unlike last time, they were getting dark. "For Saints, we have to keep our minds clear of doubts. That's if a saint ever does something that breaks their virtue, they have to commit suicide or become a fiend," she muttered, gazing directly into my eyes.

'That's kind of Heavy...' I thought after hearing her words

"Why didn't you tell me before, Alice?" I turned around to look at Alicia with a betrayed look.

'Look how much trouble you made me cause'; my gaze conveyed my hurt feelings.

"I honestly never thought it would be so serious, I mean, I knew she was a saintess and they have strict rules to not involve themselves in such things..." Alicia tried to defend herself, but couldn't really continue as she failed to form another word.

"Alright then, how should I help since you are here without committing suicide and not starting a war with the other races?" I asked Aisha, who was still calmly looking at me with a dark look

Aisha smirked at my words and leaned closer to me, her breath just a millimeter apart from my face.

"The price isn't small," she warned, and perceived my reaction curiously.

"I am fine as long as you don't want my head," I said with determination.

Aisha giggled and lightly tapped my head. "No, I don't want your head, especially since you need to be alive...for me." Then she paused and added with curiosity in her eyes, "What if I say you need to divorce your wives over there and return to being a normal human?"

Alicia's grip on Eleanor's arm tightened, stopping Eleanor from lunging at Aisha and tearing her apart. "Don't stop me, Alicia. I need to remove this church's harlot from this world immediately," Eleanor screamed in protest as Alice was barely able to keep her still, even with enhancement spells.

"Don't she's clearly not serious besides's impossible unless Va—"

"Wait, really! I have the option for divorce?" I exclaimed, surprised at the information.

"Darling!!/Valerian!!" Both Eleanor Alicia screamed in fright as they heard my words, "Don't you dare to think of that," they both mouthed dangerously, making me sweat nervously.

"Chill, guys, I was surprised that's all, besides, I won't divorce you five ever...Even if I become a scumbag one day," I muttered in response to their look of betrayal.

Both of them sighed in relief at my response, and we returned to Aisha's words again.

"So what is the actual requirement?" I asked with a hint of seriousness.

"So you won't divorce them, huh? To be honest, I'd have preferred if you really did," She said with disappointment in her voice.

Clearly, she had hoped for me to return to being a normal human.

Actually, that doesn't sound bad...

If only I were ever normal, that is.

"Unfortunately, I have come into this new life of mine, and I don't plan to give this up." My answer made Aisha smile a bit helplessly and reply.

"Though I am sad you chose this life, I respect your decision not to run from it." Her tone was surprisingly kind as she said, "And I am glad you are like this, a pity I met you so late."

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused by her words.

Aish's lips curled into a gentle smile as a lovely glint appeared in her eyes. "I forgot to say, there's another method saints use to refrain their mind from corrupting," she touched my face and gently caressed it. "That is to accept that their feelings aren't impure and true and pure affection".

Huh?

Wdym?

"Hehe...It seems you still are not getting what I said. It's simple, Sir Valerian. Marry me". Her expression turned playful suddenly as she said something that should be absurd.

Or maybe it's logical...

Aisha spread her arms wide, as if presenting a grand prize. "In essence," she added as her gaze locked in with mine."Sir Valerian will take responsibility for your actions and bind yourself with me in holy matrimony."

Honestly, with how beautiful she is, I wouldn't have a problem.

But someone sure did have plenty.

"No way in the name of the Four damn moons will I ever accept that," A shout echoed from behind me with intense venom just as I was processing her words.

...

....

Eleanor's patience finally snapped as she barked at Aisha's demands. "I can't accept that," she screamed with her voice ringing throughout the room. "Just because of a single kiss, you are trying to wiggle your way into my darling's arm and demanding things like that." She stepped forward this time, and not even Aloce tried to stop her. "Valerian is mine," she declared with intense possessiveness in her every syllable uttered. "He is my Husband! Just because I share him with others doesn't mean I'll accept any random Slut between us."

Alicia watched the exchange with a mixture of concern and nervousness. On one hand, she was worried that it might affect the relationship of the Factions, and on the other hand, she wanted to help Eleanor drive her away.

After all, even she was possessive of her husband.

But in the end, she couldn't make a decision and decided to get between them to calm them down.

"Aisha, Eleanor, maybe we should leave the decision to our Husband after all, it's his who should decide what to do." Alicia turned to both of them and smiled, "I think it's better this way, right, Val?" She winked at me nervously.

'Girl, just because you couldn't support either of them, you pushed it all on me,' I inwardly thought as a dry chuckle left my lips.

"Then, Sir Valerian, I'd love to hear your agreement, but remember if you don't agree, the alliance will not be formed as I would have no choice but to commit suicide, sparking another war".

I stood calmly, a silent, unreadable expression on my face, and I pondered her words.

My gaze shifted between Eleanor and Alicia, then back at Aisha. "So what you are saying is that for the church faction to accept the new peace treaty, I'd have no choice but to take responsibility for you or risk a holy war, huh?"

Aisha nodded in response to my words, "Yes, precisely, I am also here to monitor whether you will threaten the world with your abnormal existence as well."

'So she is here as a spy as well, or more like a supervisor,' I thought to myself, realizing that this arrangement is deeper than I originally believed.

'Eleanor, I permit you to beat me up however much as you like after this, ' I muttered with a hardened resolve as I prepared my decision.

Eleanor's Face paled at my words as she muttered in pure disbelief, "No, no, no, no, no. It can't be. It must be a dream, no, no." Her eyes darkened as she looked at Aisha, who looked like a monster in her eyes.

"You Bitch!" She shouted her voice echoing through the room with intensity, "You think you can just waltz your way in here and demand my husband to marry you, I won't allow it, never."

"I am not forcing my way here, daughter of the crimson moon. I would simply leave if Sir Valerian refused to take responsibility for me," Aisha replied nonchalantly, not giving any reaction to her curses.

Hearing Aisha's Eleanor turned her head towards me and mumbled with a begging voice, "Daling, please, I am with anything but please don't do this, I don't want to lose you anymore."

"Eleanor..." I called her name out and embraced her in my arms, making her look hopeful. "I am sorry, but I have to say it, I am a degenerate..."

.

"Huh," Eleanor muttered, her expression blank.

What he meant was written all over her face.

"I am sure you researched everything about me, but you never knew that I have this bad habit," I whispered with a lamenting look. "I pay back all the things I receive by quite a lot."

Eleanor failed to comprehend what I meant until it clicked.

Even though we are couples and lovers.

She knew our relationship never started in a good way.

"You don't mean? Right? Darling, I already apologized for that you don't need to do this," She begged and tightly clung onto me, her eyes looking crazy.

I smiled gently in response and patted her head. "I am no saint to forgive a woman who traumatized me like that in my childhood, am I?" and kissed her cheeks, a smirk gracing my face as my eyes glowed a dark blue. "I already said it before, I don't care whether you like it or not."

Hearing those familiar words, she heard that time her entire spirit to protest crumbled. "I hate you, but I love you," she muttered weakly and buried her face in my chest.

I chuckled and replied, "What a coincidence, I feel the same." My hand patting her head as she lost her will to continue the argument.

"At least I can beat you up however I want, right?" She asked, looking up at me with tears still in her eyes.

I smiled nervously in response."Please do go easy on me."
